While I grew up as a Nintendo guy personally, I still spent countless hours playing the original Sonic The Hedgehog games as a kid with my friends. They hold a certain nostalgia for me of a time when I didn't have the worries of taking care of myself or making sure I'm always on my hustle. In retrospect, I've realized that Sonic 2 had a genuinely amazing soundtrack, so I took a whack at a bit of a tribute track based on the theme for "Chemical Plant Zone". I remember that level in particular always being a bitch, and I came to really hate the sound of drowning haha. The tune turned out pretty experimental - but I really enjoyed working on it, and decided to serve it up as my newest free download. Enjoy!

Zounds! A midweek treat for the weary psychedelic travelers shackled to desks and manning the meatpacking lines. Perched on the precipice of a massive fall tour complete with a stunning new live show and a gaggle of special guests, Ott has blessed The Untz with unholy water (it stings) and a fancy new single hot off the presses and straight from the laboratory. "Baby Robot" is a lush, symphonic piece oozing with walls of cushy synths and a hypnotic beat that laps up against the ethereal vox like waves on the shore.

The B-Side "Mr. Balloon Hands" is a trippy, broken beat opus riddle with Indian raga scatting and plenty of exotic percussion to get those tired feet moving. Bouncy, buoyant, and ebullient, this cut will push you over onto the safety of the weekend whereupon Ott triumphantly returns to the great state of Colorado with a pair of shows on the 13th and 14th: first at the Mish up near Ft. Collins, and then Boulder bound on Saturday. The rest of the country need not fret, the brand new show hits cities big and small from coast to coast through the month of September and into October with Bluetech, Anomie Belle, Aligning Minds, and many more incredible acts.

Growing up, I listened to a lot of rock from across the ages. There were a few artists who I was particularly drawn to, and Frampton was one of those. I remember as a kid hearing the talkbox and being totally blown away. So when the opportunity came, I jumped at being able to do a funky little reworking of "Do You Feel Like We Do".

Big thanks to the fine people at Vibe Magazine for premiering the remix, and big thanks to the man Peter Frampton himself saying he loved my new remix!

Here's a fresh new tune I made with my homie @ofthetrees - bit of a bipolar one haha. It starts off melodic and psychedelic, but switches up pretty dramatically a few times throughout the song. I had a lot of fun working on the sound design on this one specifically, trying to create a intricate yet banging track. Stay tuned for a new EP I have cookin as well!

The newest EP from Froogle, entitled Surreal Feels, described in the following three words: emotional, melodic, and exquisite. Froogle’s creative use of empty space is expertly combined with smooth sonic production, applied across various genres like downtempo hip-hop, experimental  and Future. Incubus has been one of my "go-to" bands ever since SCIENCE, and since I was in the mood to write something a little different and more on the feel-good nostalgic side, I couldn't help but take a whack at their tune "Stellar" off of the Make Yourself album. It turned out somewhere along the lines of epic / pretty dubstep - it's danceable but simultaneously able to be listened too while winding down with a special someone. Enjoy :)
