Psynon Records are thrilled to present their latest release Focal EP by Mexican producer Oksha.

The tracks in this EP tell stories full of nuances and changes of pace that make you dance with their shining and consistent energy. Oksha's masterful use of dynamic and funky dialogue between leads, ensure that you always find an energetic wave to ride into. Additionally, his transitions and climaxes are pure jewels as they mix sound space bending effects with witty and precise beat changes.

The release also features a collaboration track with his long time friend and mentor Farb0, who has a unique and baroque take on sound design. Their track, Morphic Resonance, offers a mild touch of darkness and more techy leads with digitsed voice samples.

Effigies of death: ritual decapitation and modification of skulls from
the Offering of the Templo Mayor of Tenochtitlan.
The human skeletal offerings at the Templo Mayor of Tenochtitlán include decapitated skulls, some of them reused as skull masks. Little is known regarding who the individuals used as offerings were or where they came from. It is generally accepted that these individuals were obtained through warfare and that the masks were made locally in Tenochtitlán.
Between 1325 and 1521, the Mexica people of the Aztec capital ritually buried hundreds of offerings to their gods in the depths of the Templo Mayor of Tenochtitlan, where for more than five hundred years these gifts lay undiscovered. In complex religious ceremonies, sacred messages to the gods were expressed not only through these objects but through their exact and symbolic placement as well.
This compilation is inspired by and dedicated to the most ancient ancestors of Aztec history and civilization in Mexico, particularly in memory of and devotion to the Templo Mayor of Tenochtitlan.

Psynon Records is a London based label which started as a party crew in 2007 when a group of DJs from different corners of the world met whilst partying at the underground psytrance parties in London. All sharing similar tastes in music and psychedelia, they decided to organise and promote their own parties with the music they wanted to hear and vibe they wanted to create. Now in 2011 the boys at Psynon decided to launch Psynon Records – a platform for underground artists to promote and release their music.

Having run parties in London, Europe, and India with positive feedback and explosive dance-floors Psynon has taken the natural progression and developed into a record label.

Our style is predominantly night time, pumping psytrance with high quality production. As well as throwing top notch events our aim is to promote and release new up-and-coming talent who share our same goal.

Above all we want to create an energetic dance floor vibe for people to enjoy themselves.
