Hoshiya Yoshiyuki is the man behind the alias, a passionate dj as well as a talented audio engineer managing his own sound system for many festivals and events. I worked as a staff at the legendary Club "Studio Cube 326" which was a sacred place of trance.
Based on the experiences gained there, under 2013 we started as an underground DJ.
While doing regular DJ at Trance Party which was held weekly in Shibuya and Shinjuku in Tokyo, I started a career as a DJ in full swing around Tokyo, while raising skills.
I belong to Party Crew, Wing Makers who is active in the Kanto base and is widely active.
Wing Makers is the momentum DJ group and excites various Party scenes.
Motivation for my sound has grown even higher, so I own the sound system from 2015.
While doing sound system and DJ activities, I am pursuing the sound everyday.
In addition, since 2018, he belongs to PsynOpticz Records which is engaged in activities in South Africa, and also has activities in Japan and abroad.

When asked by my good friends at Iboga if i wanted to make a compilation aiming at the slower, more downbeat side of the music spectrum, of course I immediately said yes.
So much great downbeat music has emerged over the past 2-3 years, and the scene has been growing rapidly, with many sub-genres seeing the light of day.
My thoughts about the selection of tracks was that they should be deep, moody, trippy, well produced ,and layered with tribalistic rhythm patterns. And a sexy bassline wouldn't hurt either!
So I started to get in contact with friends and some of my favourite producers in the genre, and slowly but surely, a story was starting to unfold...a sonic horizon, filled with music dear to my heart. Enjoy!

Originz aka Raphael Atlan is a 25 years old psytrance activist from Lyon, France. Founder and director of the organization Outrance and in the line-up team of the Hadra festival, he started djing alongside many international artists of the scene. Since 2015, he played on several stages in France and around the world his groovy and punchy psychedelic dj sets (Thailand, China, Malaysia, Israel, Italy) and in renowned festivals like Hadra Festival or Wao Festival… In 2019, he joined Sangoma Records as Label DJ to fulfill his dream. His style blends morning and night psychedelic, powerful and catchy dj sets that awaken dancefloors. He takes his influences in labels like Sangoma or Looney Moon. The concept of PsynOpticz was seeded in the thriving Cape Town indoor scene in 2006, where it flourished, providing the CT masses with cream of the crop local and international talent on a weekly basis. These events quickly gained an ardent following and were renowned for their stellar lineups, immersive psychedelic decor and energising vibe! 

With this experience and ever growing support, it became inevitable that PsynOpticz branch out into the outdoors, providing South Africa with it's staple annual event, Jungala Festival.

It has its own special flavour and design, with the goal to create an all encompassing experience that removes you from the mundane and transports you to an interactive psychedelic wonderland, a completely synergistic and harmonious journey from beginning to end. These festival hosts fresh talent as well as headliners, both homegrown and from around the globe, establishing the network that would eventually culminate in the evolution of PsynOpticz from event organiser to a record label.

The mastermind behind PsynOpticz, Calvin aka SwiTcHcaChe, has developed a keen ear for prospective acts, being both organiser as well a DJ.
