Limitless Spiritual Storytelling

Psyrob is a project from near Cologne, one of the strongholds for electronic dance music.
Robin Bauer has been gaining experience in the Goa scene since 2012 and was enthusiastic about the spirit and love that is celebrated at events of this kind. While he focused exclusively on "Goa Trance" subgenres until 2018 and thus approached mixing, he opened himself up to all genres from that point on.

To this day he practices an open style and does not commit himself to a specific genre of music. His goal is to go from mixing to production. He wants to create musical journeys and messages that get to the center of the listener's heart.

He works passionately to be able to finance the necessary equipment and to put his years of musical experience into practice.
In addition, at the end of 2019 he reached a spiritual turning point on his journey, which still has a major influence on his music today.
Psyrob gratefully embraces the
technological gifts of the Aquarian Age and is ambitious to let his creative energy flow fully into his music and to reach others with it.

Currently he is focusing on downtempo projects. Rob loves creating live mash-ups and combining different genres in a limitless way. His goal is to convey messages with each of his mixes and to interact directly with the conscious or subconscious of the listener.

✔️ What are your musical influences? What is your musical background?

I am influenced by the punk and metal/hardcore music of the 2000s - 2010s. Artists like Queens of the Stone Age and Placebo also had a psychedelic influence on me. I played Moby, Faithless and Pendulum CDs up and down. I listened to a lot of soul and pop in my environment. It felt like almost everyone around me used to make music. I went to open stages a lot. Once a month, I hosted a small stage at Brunnen70 for a short period of time and invited those same people. That shaped my understanding of the diversity of music, that good music has no genre boundaries. When choosing my tracks, I am attuned to 1 tempo, but I try to make the setlist dynamic.

✔️ What makes a good afterhour for you?

The people, the location and the music. Everything should happen harmoniously and without pressure. There is always a certain responsibility to check in with each other and see what the party needs. For me personally, freshly tapped beer is a hedonistic highlight for very special moments :)
