For this second music project I wanted to go back to the roots, the origins of the music of our civilizations. So, I took all my nomad music setup this winter and traveled deep into the Moroccan Desert, staying in a beautiful camp far from the crowd of tourism, to find true inspiration to prepare this mix of Northern Africa and Middle East music.

Everyday after meditating and contemplating in serenity the sunrise, I would play loud directly in front of the Dunes, to the Elements, the Spirits and all the residents of the Desert, the Stars, the Gods as the only audience. An offering to the Unknown*.

Sumerian, Egyptian, Byzantine, Persian, Islam, these cultures from very early times created diverse music and sound performances with different motives for thousands of years.

The ancestral instruments still used today, the deep spiritual and mystical vocals and all kinds of percussion mixed with specific electronics frequencies, will takes you on a long journey back in time, like a caravan traveling day and night on the shore of these golden landscapes, an adventure in the tales of Magic*, a journey into the deep memories of our Souls, an awakening of our body by oriental sounds and dances.

I feel immensely grateful for the honor of closing the Organic Garden Event at Sudhaus in Basel after the incredible Jonas Fasching. This meant quite a few first times for me - but everyone was so welcoming and supportive that at some point during Jonas' set my nervousness was gone. ☺️

I hope this set is as enjoyable here as it was live! And there was no time to waste. Because of the change to summer time that night I barely had an hour...

This month's special guest inSub-Y-Dub-Y-Doo is LIPI BROWN.

Laszló Rácz, also known as Lipi Brown, is a guitarist, bassist, drummer, producer and songwriter. His musical career begun in the 1980s playing in different underground, punk and hardcore bands next to his ordinary job as a stage play writer in musical scenes.In the 1990s he met with the colourful Caribbean music genres and since then he became one of the most known musician who plays Ska, Reggae and Dub in Hungary. He was the cofounder, drummer and songwriter of the well-known Hungarian ska band Pannonia Allstars Ska Orchestra, T-Rex Riders and The Mighty Fishers .From the years of early 2000 ongoing he organised many successful club nights and festivals, additionally he became a radio anchorman in different radio stations using his talent spreading the good Jamaican vibes and tunes.
Since he left the band Lipi paid full attention to the Dub music and shortly became a pioneer in the Hungarian Dub scene and in 2018 he released the ever first dub LP on vinyl in Hungary, the “Criminals In The Parliament”.As a versatile musician he often colouring up his music with Eastern European, Balkan, Gypsy, Celtic and Indian elements but he never moved far away from his roots and also produces and co-produces certain Boss Sound and Early Reggae music.He never hidden his feelings and his opposing views toward the current political system comes up in his music very often. After 30 years in the Caribbean scene and after a successful launch of his first solo album he feels more than ready to step up to spread his judgement and show his musical knowledge to a wider audience.

Psyrob is a project from near Cologne, one of the strongholds for electronic dance music.

Robin Bauer, known as Psyrob, has been an integral part of the Goa scene since 2012, deeply captivated by the spirit of love and community found at its events. Initially, his focus was exclusively on Goa Trance subgenres until 2018, meticulously honing his mixing skills within this specific realm.
From 2018 onwards, Psyrob embarked on a journey of musical exploration, embracing an open-ended style that transcends specific genres. His ambition is to craft profound musical journeys and deliver messages that resonate directly with the listener's heart.
A significant spiritual turning point at the end of 2019 continues to profoundly influence his artistic expression. Psyrob wholeheartedly embraces the technological advancements of the Aquarian Age, channeling his creative energy into his music with the aim of connecting with a broader audience.
Currently, Psyrob is dedicating his talents to downtempo projects. He excels at creating live mash-ups, seamlessly blending diverse genres without limitation. His ultimate goal with each mix is to convey meaningful messages and storys, engaging directly with both the conscious and subconscious minds of his listeners.
