A man noted for incorporating battle style turntablism into his sets, DJ Godfather has been at the forefront of the Detroit scene for well over two decades. After dropping the techno and electro-fied "The Killshot EP" last December, "Love, Detroit" sees him take it back to the source with some Detroit Techno. The lead track drops on March 22nd, ahead of the full EP release on April 5th that features remixes from Rolando, DJ 3000, Gettoblaster, Invite Only, Oliver Way, TekNoNo and DJ Godfather himself.

Bringing an array of friends to give their interpretations, Rolando brings a deeper tone and some Detroit strings to his "Bumpin' Down Vernor Remix", followed by a tougher techno approach from Oliver Way (EPM / Detroit Grand Pubahs). Fellow Detroiter and Motech Records man, DJ 3000 turns in a real groover, while the Detroit-meets-Chicago duo, Gettoblaster bring tracky Chi-town vibes. Invite Only serves up some deep techno shuffle, while TekNoNo's features vocal snippets in his dubby House "Terrace Dub". DJ Godfather then closes the EP with a solid Jit Mix.
