"Infinity song came about during a time where I was still trying to wrap my head around a series of events that happened in a relatively short time span and had really shaken me: my uncles untimely death, news that my dad had an incurable illness and the covid pandemic. Things had irrevocable changed and I was trying to find ways to accept this new reality on the one hand and feeling more nostalgic than ever as a counter reaction to this. Both feelings seeped into the writing proces, resulting in infinity song."

“'Doin’ Alright' feels like floating through a montage of moments from a past relationship from a 3rd person perspective. Some sweet and sentimental moments, others problematic in hindsight. The sounds, melodies, and harmonies feel like the space between the time of a heartbreak, and the present day having healed from it. The lyrics feel like the knowledge that you’ll never quite be the same, but probably in a good way."

When the Wind is Blowing

'Little Tooth' is a warm, contemplative song about witnessing my partner age with a certain grace, and feeling stuck / left behind due to my resistance to the natural 'wither and bloom’ that comes with change. It's realizing that what we try to hold onto, like a baby tooth clinging to the gums, might be what we need to let go of to 'make a space for something new.' Produced by Eric Hillman (Foreign Fields), mixed by Zach Hanson (Bon Iver, The Staves, Gordi), and mastered by Taylor Dupree.
