?Public Displays Of Affection are a four piece from Glasgow who are fine-tuning their mix of raucous garage-pop and dark indie music in venues all across Glasgow ?

Behind The Noise is a ‘real world’ music and business education programme for high school pupils. We aim to inspire, encourage and support young people who have an interest in music and the various career and further learning opportunities that exist within the creative sector.

In 2011, we identified a need for senior school students to engage with and gain more of an understanding of the various jobs and career paths that exist within the music industry. A pilot programme began in 5 Glasgow schools in order to assess the viability and determine the reaction of both students and teachers alike…it was a resounding success!

Behind The Noise is now in schools throughout central Scotland.

The iQ are a North Ayrshire Alternative Rock 2-piece band with the charismatic bassist and vocalist Ariel Grace, alongside the quiet but talented Ewan McAuley on drums and co-vocals. The group started on April the 5th of 2016, after originally being in a 3-piece band called Unknown, the group broke up with Ewan & Ariel going on to form a songwriting partnership.

Influences: Vocals (Ariel): Ariel's vocal style is heavily influenced by a wide array of singers, mostly throughout the 90s. He heavily sights Thom Yorke of Radiohead, Kurt Cobain of Nirvana & Morrissey of The Smiths as major influences due to all 3 singers being able to portray a sense of vulnerability.

Vocals (Ewan): Ewan's Vocals are influenced by a few singers most of which are from the '90's or early 2000's. Alkaline Trio's Matt Skiba is one of the first followed by Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong, The Smashing Pumpkins' Billy Corgan and Blink-182's Mark Hoppus.

Bass: Ariel's Bass playing is majorly taken from Motorhead's Lemmy Kilmister who's simple but heavy bass technique struck a chord with Ariel. Another heavy influence he sights is Krist Novolselic of infamous Grunge pioneers, Nirvana.

Drums: Ewan's Drumming techniques come from a variety of drummers. The first is Alkaline Trio's Derek Grant who uses Short but skilled Drum fills. Next is Blink-182's Travis Barker. Dave Grohl From Nirvana is also a massive influence as well as Steve Hewitt from Placebo.
