With the fifth offering Public Possession introduces Obalski. He is a long term shareholder of the Public Possession Organisation. His musical portfolio, so far, includes scores for various theater plays as well as sound installations in art galleries and DJ gigs at various binge-drink bars around town, where if you’re lucky, he also serves you your favorite beverage. This 6-track Debut EP opens up a new chapter in his oeuvre.

Catalogue Number PP018 has been work in progress for quite a while now. Wind-s originally appeared in a slightly different version as part of the soundtrack to one of Rohtheaters` plays. The track features all the typical Obalski elements we have grown so fond of in the past. Dreamy pads and odd melodies create the sort of ambient that carries you away somewhere else (Bravo!). We decided that it would be interesting to hear other artists take their turn on the material. The Japanese duo Mascaras (Chida & 5ive) transformed Wind-s in an atmospheric drum workout. Fantastically incorporating the breezy synth elements of the original into their flow of percussion. Press play – Lift off. The B-Side gives space to Nick Höppner‘s epic Techno groove. Ecstasy – evolving – progress.

We've been tight with Peckham collective and record label Rhythm Section for a long time now, and catching wind of a new release is always a very big deal. Aukland-born and Peckham-based duo Chaos in the CBD have been on our radar for a minute. You'll probably know these two as the hands behind their seminal debut Midnight in Peckham, released last year. Their new release, Invisible Spectrum, doesn't disappoint. Our favourite of the tracks, "Significant Others" brings the EP to its peak with heavy jazz influences, a bongo beat and serious dance capabilities. Get ready to be wrapped up in the kind of groove that makes you forget all the bad stuff.

The Invisible Spectrum is released on 9th September.

Chaos In The CBD "Significant Others" - Boiler Room Debuts

TheBasementDiscos from Valencia releases its first EP: Edits 1 due to release the very first day of september. It's a three tracker record of 300 vinyl copies by Pau Roca, Sau Poler and JMII.  First edit is done by Pau Roca and comes from the  classic album from 1985 "Magnetic Eyes" by Jeff Phelps, Pau giving an efficient club touch to the original anthem.
The second edit is made by Sau Poler and consists of an edit of a rare African song used to open his Boiler Room x Generator in Barcelona. The edit has been included in Man Power’s podcast in XLR8R and The Ransom Note mixtape by JMII and finally a podcast by Herzel for a Croatian magazine. Lot of additional airplays to be expected !
The third edit finally featured here is by JMII, from whom we premiered a superb remix of Sankt Goran for the MM Discos guys recently. This time it's an edit of the cult Frankie Knuckles/Jamie Principle "Your Love " the monster chicago-house hit you all know, right?!
The artwork is done by Ausias Pérez , Valencian designer and longtime friend of the label. Arroz Negro pa' todo el mundo !

Making his Anjunadeep debut with "Over Clouds" is Germany's Koelle.

No stranger to respectable imprints, with releases on Traum, Schallplatten, and Needwant, Koelle's brand of melodic electronica has won fans in label mates Jody Wisternoff, Martin Roth, and Cubicolor. A classically trained cellist, musicality oozes through this one of a kind artist, as was witnessed with his "All You Got" collaboration with Elli.

Now, Koelle and Elli team up once again to bring today's exclusive premiere in the form of 'Over Clouds'.

After a recent 12" for Tusk Wax , he now delivers three tracks of cosmified aphex bliss, where pan pipes are the sound of death whistles and hats scatter like falling shells. PREMIERE - Ian Blevins - Air Penguin (Chida Remix) (Not an Animal)

Sara Dziri is one of the artists defining Brussels’ electronic underground scene. Hybridity and melancholy are central themes in her music, complex house and techno imbued with the overtones of her Belgian-Tunisian background. She has played at Boiler Room, Institut du Monde Arabe, Nuits Sonores/European Lab, Amsterdam Dance Event and more. Sara has a residency at Kiosk Radio and promotes the feminist queer underground party ‘Not Your Techno’ and ‘Souk Sessions’, a night dedicated to arab techno.

Her first EP for Lurid Music opens with the title track, “Vague Realities”, a sluggish techno beast featuring what could be described as Tunisian brass on acid. Japan’s underground hero Chida is called in for remix duties and delivers with abundance, producing a head-swaying Moroder-esque noir anthem.

The other side features “Oasis”, a 109-bpm psychotropic desert chugger with Northern African percussion, gated Arab melodies and sinister basslines. England’s dark force Man Power steps in to speed things up and deliver an entrancing throwback to outdoor raves of old, building upon repetitive loops, ever- evolving jangling keys and shiny synth stabs.
