@g-k-machine : At first I decided to only pick records that existed prior to 2015, the year the label started. In other words I interpreted it as using the mix as an opportunity to showcase what HAD inspired its birth. Then I thought, fuck this weird limitation I’ve imposed on myself….there is so much great music being released NOW that I want to put on it. Besides, the label is constantly evolving so it would be weird to say the influences stopped after the label started. So in the end it encapsulated as much as I could possibly bring into it and despite it’s diversity, it’s still quite niche…….

Gamelan Psíquico : I tried to select tracks/artists that blew my mind when I first listen to. Tracks that made me think " I want to release something like this on Abstrakce". 

I recorded the mix on a Thursday evening at my favorite bar in Valencia, MAT32, where I play records from time to time. Due to my actual lack of free time, the mix was totally improvised, I just picked up some of my favorite vinyls from home and went to the bar. Some vinyls have been played so much before that you will hear a lot of clicks and cracks. Sorry about that. 

I realized that a lot of the tracks or artists that first blew my mind are now part of the label. This consideration made me feel really well, thanks for driving me to that satisfying thought! 
I had to make an effort to leave out those musicians that are already involved in the label (for example Bitchin Bajas, K. Leimer, Marc Barreca, Finis Africae...). I just couldn't make it with Tolouse Low Trax. I always need some Tolouse, it's my religion. And we only released a remix from him, so we can’t really consider him as a part of the label... yet.

I played also a digital track from Poligono Hindú Astral, an old project from my labelmate Joni. I wanted to include it because Polígono influenced me at that time to listening more kosmische stuff.

Russian-based DJ and producer.

Denis Safiullin (Unbroken Dub) is Russian musician, DJ and a representative of the HOT WAX team from Tyumen. He began to show musical activity in 2007, the first major result of which was the release on the RAWAX label.
Initially, this label has been focused solely on the release of Denis’ music, but later on it published other artists such as Neil Landstrumm, Matt Star, Jordan Fields, Unbalance and Alex Danilov. Being a big fan of soviet analog synths and of all kinds of experiments with samples, Denis managed to achieve originality of his compositions, and enlist the support of many members of the club industry around the world. Thus, in 2012, he made his debut on the famous Dutch label Delsin with Checkpoint EP released on vinyl.

This one-hour mix by German artist Sophie Pschorr will take you through a series of finely selected tracks that induce a dark and melancholic mood. Sophie is known for her monthly show on Munich’s, Radio 80000 called Pferdestärken, which literally translates to horsepower. From that title, one might expect her show to consist of only high power/energy music, but this is not the case. Her mixes will undoubtedly yield a full spectrum of genres and styles that one may not expect, which is exactly what makes it so enjoyable.
