"The Sword of Bunker Hill" was a popular Civil War era ballad rallying troops with the memory of the Revolutionary War nearly a century before.

The instrumental parts were extracted from printed music dated 1855 indicating it is "As Sung by Ossian's Bards". This recording follows the old text closely, adding accordion and strings  and brass for a cinematic effect.

The image is "The Battle of Bunker's Hill, June 17, 1775" by John Trumbull (American, 1775-1843). The Art Gallery at Yale University offers an interesting explanation of how Trumbull mixed drama and humanity in depicting the climatic moment in the battle as American Major General Joseph Warren is mortally wounded by a musket ball. https://artgallery.yale.edu/collections/objects/41
