Introducing the first release on @Pucasounds - PUCA001.
'Cavalo' is the debut EP of Berlin based trio Jogada which is heavily inspired by traditional Brazilian rhythms, instruments and sounds from nature, infused with some dusty synthesisers and a quest for exploring the unknown.

Ahead of our upcoming release, we introduce our Púca Sounds mix series which will focus on listening music from our favourite selectors around the world.

First up, one of three mixes coming from the producers of our PUCA001 release: @jp-comazzi. This mix brings together influences from his native Brazil, which also plays a big part in shaping the music he makes today.

From early morning till late night, music is constantly with me - for every occasion, there will always be a tune to go with it. The selections I brought to the mix are representing the cycles of my routines - from spiritual music to tropical funky grooves 🌞🌻🥰

PÚCAMIX 001 - João Comazzi

The second mix of the series is from Púca Sounds co-founder and Jogada member @murrinmusic ! He takes you on a 2 hour journey, blending early influences of Jazz & World music with his more current interest of Electronic, Balearic & Latin grooves.

Words from Dave:
This mix was recorded on a dull January day in Berlin when most of my friends had left the city for sunnier destinations, and i guess i was hoping to feel the sunshine through my selections :) On the menu is a combo of washy guitars, trippy percussion, jazzy breaks, afro & latin grooves with a hint of hope for spring. Enjoy the journey!

Jogada, the group behind PÚCA001, a Berlin-based trio made up by João Comazzi, Dave Murrin & Gavin Kenny. 

‘Cavalo' is their debut release and is the result of a string of weekly sessions held throughout the stagnant year of 2020, when they were forced to put their dancefloor energy into the studio. After years of friendship and sharing music together, they started exploring what happens when different musical backgrounds join forces.

The group is heavily inspired by traditional Brazilian rhythms, instruments, and sounds from nature, infused with some dusty synthesizers and a quest for exploring the unknown.
