Back to the Old Days is a tribute to the history of Jamaican music, from its beginnings to our times. And also a way to remember that despite these difficult times, hopefully we will soon return to the normality we had and be able to enjoy music with live events.

Thanks to great artists with whom we share a passion for this music and with the special collaboration of some Reggae legends such as Michael Prophet and Toots Hibbert, may they rest in peace, and Sister Nancy, we have been able to complete a very sincere tribute to the music that we enjoy so much.

Beat The Boss LP by Newcastle and Norway’s finest new trinity of crime fighting artists who between them are a serious blend of graffiti animators, MC’s, singers, producers, video editors and truth embellishing lyricists with some deep ideas to share about humanity who have created a mini masterpiece of sound in an 8 bit excursion which will blow you to bits as it did the Renegades when they sent it to us. Made up of Jody Bigfoot, Louie Zico and Helgeland 8 Bit Squad. Bigfoot and Zico came together having known each other as childhood friends and bonded following Bigfoot’s return from traveling Japan and Australia for the funeral of his best friend. A unique collective including various guests, a sound was created by combining the idiosyncratic voices of a disparate group with one mind. The track titles speak volumes, Beat the Boss - inspired by Jody’s decision to quit full time work under a dragon of a boss to complete the album, Eyes – Named after the third verse’s rhyme structure, the final verse close friend Lee Halpin recorded before his sudden death on the streets of Newcastle whilst trying to highlight the plight of the homeless, and Pierce – a dark and sublimely poetic piece observing the surface deep attitudes and endeavors of we humans, encouraging ourselves to pierce deeper. As fans of Helgeland 8 Bit Squad’s truly unique style, they decided to form the magic trinity to create this LP influenced by the late Space Ape and the Renegade Commander’s own immaturely baked efforts a few years ago. Firmly handing that baton to the the next generation we present to you a blend of 8 bit hip hop and laid back trip hop with a chill-out vibe, this is one for every Reggae Hop lover to kick back to and prepare for any event no matter how stressful, this LP will unwind you and get your head bobbing with the rhythm of sea waves on a calm night. After a while of not releasing any stepper tunes we are proud announce our next vinyl release with Bony Fly and Sr. WIlson. 

This 12“ limited edition features the notorious Spanish singer Sr Wilson on a heavy riddim built by the upcoming producer Bony Fly out of Geneva Switzerland. Guaranteed to get a forward bass pressure in any session.
Front side, Sr Wilson delivers word-sound conscious lyrics, making allusions to the last US elections. Between his sweet singing and hard-hitting flow he rides a pure hardware dub stepper riddim built and mixed at the Wiki Studio. Next cut is the riddim track welcoming any MC to uplift the session and tear down Babylon. Flip side, a deep percussive extended dub mix. The talented producer shines on his full of pressure cut in which all mixing boundaries are tore down, between reverbs and echoes.

Limited to 500 units, no repress.

The Fat! Club EP 002 follows on from our hugely popular first EP last month, with another stellar five track mini-compilation, showcasing tracks from some of the UK’s most exciting underground producers.

Established in 1997, The Fat! Club encompasses a record label, blog, club night and management agency. This long running commitment to UK underground music has seen Chew The Fat! host arenas at festivals across the UK and Europe, monthly parties around the globe, and five consecutive summer residencies at We Love…Space Ibiza.

Now more than ever the UK underground scene is overflowing with creative minds and upfront beats, and The Fat! Club is as passionate as ever about new talent.

Opening the second EP we have London based Vice City who impressed us recently with their first track Fever (which is forthcoming on Retrospekt Records), so we had to get them on this EP with 'Luv Lyk Diz B4' sampling the gorgeous Faith Evans and a clever intro from Nina Kraviz.

Up next is Preston's Taneli and his massive track 'You're The One' which has been doing the rounds for the past few months with Eton Messy, Fhinq Music and countless other imitators.

On a slightly more techno tip we have Fixtyone27 resident Gage from Bristol and his acid banger 'Burnin'.
Beach Justice lights up proceedings on his big room stomper 'That Feeling', with some lovely top lines throughout.

Le Pull-Up Selecta Crew, c’est 8 artistes montréalais, 8 parcours différents, 8 protagonistes du milieu musical montréalais. Slim Samba, Dj Noyl, Don Mescal, Seed Organization, Clinton Sly, André Désilets, Icky Magdala et Formal G, cumulent une solide expérience de la scène.
L’aventure a commencé en 2014 lorsque Don Mescal et Formal G ont décidé de bousculer les codes du reggae en y ajoutant une dose d’électronique et contribuer ainsi au début de ce que l’on appelle depuis le “mouvement dub”. La fusion, la diversité et la découverte musicale sont les moteurs des membres du collectif, ainsi que ceux des soirées dont leur crew porte le nom, Pull-Up Selecta.
Depuis cinq ans, le Pull-Up Selecta crew a invité et partagé la scène avec des artistes comme, Taïwan MC, O.B.F, Radikal Guru, Von D, Dj Madd, Manu Digital, Dirty Dubsters, Riddim Wise, Banx & Ranx, MC Demolition Man, Krak in Dub, Dubamine ou encore le Dub-Stuy Sound.
Le rub-a-dub 2.0 et la ragga-jungle du collectif ont fait également des adeptes dans d’autres événements et festivals comme Nuits d’Afrique, le Festival International de Jazz de Montréal ou le Eclipse Festival.
