-The text is a love story. A man loved a woman, or a woman loved a man. Their house was one opposite the other. - The rest is mystery. The beloved has probably disappeared, so the lover sings the loss of his beloved. Or is it the other way, because no one knows if it is a man or a woman ... And the sun rose on the mountain, like a knell ringing, resounding in the sky. This story so transparent in its simplicity, if crystalline, was collected by a Reverend - the Komitas father; Armenian musician, musicologist and anthropologist, who is in Armenia, a few years later, in his vast and patient work of musicological collection of popular music of his country.

Being out for making beats in studio Slow Crime is finally got back with a full EP called Interstellar and including Original outta space track with some cool remixes packed like a soup in a tube for Spaceman and ready to burn the dance floors this autumn because this tube is on a high pressure from within. First comes an Original having no something in common with Nolan’s masterpiece but space atmosphere and deep intergalactic bass with cuts of spacemen communication. First remake is been delivered by London based producer Leigh Morgan who cocked something groovy and analogue warm to let us dive deeply in a silky house waves with a dynamic percussion, filter hi-hats, and blaster synths. Next comes Nici Frida Remix. A German producer from Frankfurt prefered some more minimalistic and deeply space-like sound with melodic breaks and internity keys. A perfect version for a long space trip for conquering some neighbour galaxies. An acid flavoured journey is what a partly German descent Volksfreude wants from his first getting out of the spaceship. A melodic synths with some sneaky techno groves with pitched hats and jumping toms dramatise the dance floor and put some imprint of Spaghetti Monster firm connection of groove and melody.

The 40th release from Clubsonica Records welcomes Paul Kardos to the label for his debut single. The Hungarian artist is fresh off his best year to date, highlighted by releases on Perspectives Digital and Soundteller Records. The Hernan Cattaneo favourite now begins 2018 with the much anticipated ‘Main Theme' alongside remixes from Soluna, Dimuth K and Federico Monachesi.

Known for his groovy, melodic take on progressive house Paul puts his best foot forward with ‘Main Theme'. Beginning with warm, pulsating beats and shimmering atmospheres it's an inviting first act. Sleek, meditative arps push the narrative further into dreamy territory as spacey effects and driving percussion fill in the framework. Playful and emotive, the main break proves to be the perfect centerpiece with its lighthearted mood and smooth yet powerful drop. 

The first interpretation of ‘Main Theme' is provided by Soluna who is making his fifth appearance on the label. As one of Clubsonica's core artists, the Colombian has grown into a master storyteller, with many of his productions passing the ten minutes threshold and unfolding into captivating journeys. His ‘Main Theme' interpretation is no different coming in just under ten minutes and offering a wealth of scintillating sonic artefacts. It's smooth first act is both emotive and anticipatory, leading to an expansive break. At just over two minutes the centerpiece is a journey through cross cultural motifs and mesmerizing electronics, almost trance-like in a way and building in waves before the groove does finally drop for that magic moment. 

One of 2017's hottest new names in progressive house was undoubtedly Dimuth K. The Sri Lankan artist racked up production credits on Balkan Connection, Movement Recordings and Proton's Particles. Now returning to Clubsonica following a remix of ‘Yes I Do' by Movemé, Dimuth puts his own unique twist on ‘Main Theme'. Buzzing synths and a rolling groove immediately grab your attention while the primary motif delicately gets worked into the mix. Its vivacious energy carries wonderfully into the main break where astral moods and decayed sonics capture your imagination, before the serene narrative transitions the piece to a whimsical finale. 

The third and final interpretation of ‘Main Theme' is provided by Federico Monachesi who is making his first appearance on the label. The Argentinean artist has always chosen his projects wisely with 2017 seeing releases on Movement Recordings, Soundteller Records and Stellar Fountain. Long noted for his pristine production Federico closes the release out strong with a superb rendition of ‘Main Theme'. Backed by a spacious groove the mood is funkier, with broader appeal and yet no less emotive. Distinctive vocal samples and a simple but effective take on the original theme works wonders, while a celestial break serves to shift the narrative momentarily, setting up an even groovier third act. A wonderful remix from Federico which rounds out another strong offering from Clubconica Records. Don't miss it.
