Total Concentration Acid is a rippin’ four-track release from HOMAGE boss Ryan Clover. Hot off of releases on Eris Drew’s Ecstatic Editions and Black Cadmium’s GLXY Recs, Ryan turns to his imprint with a pack of acid-soaked heaters with a big room attitude.

Here, Clover takes a different approach, trading his usual penchant for unexpected buildups and emotional journeys for classic, hard-hitting arrangements and sounds. The EP also features an electrifying breaks-laden remix of the title track by Milan's acid stalwart, Elisa Bee, whose productions and performances have solidified her status as a regular at esteemed venues like Berghain and Tempio del Futuro Perduto.

As Amniote Editions proudly celebrates its 5th anniversary, the label is excited to unveil 'HoxV-2: Spekki Webu x Heliobolus - Phylogenetic Analysis,' the debut LP from long-time friend and collaborator, @spekkiwebu, also known as Heliobolus. This 11-track project, shaped by a full year of meticulous studio experimentation, represents a bold exploration of sound, merging experimental techno with cinematic elements. “This is a journey of intertwined storylines, akin to parallel universes that connect and diverge.” Spekki explains.

At the heart of Phylogenetic Analysis lies the narrative of Heliobolus, a story of continuous evolution across different lifetimes, where Spekki Webu finds himself trapped in a cycle of spiritual searching and physical transformation. Drawing inspiration from science fiction, the artist crafts a dual narrative between tracks that oscillates between the spiritual and the surreal. Spekki tells us: ”The track ‘White Room’ is inspired by an intense psychedelic experience where his perception was wiped out for the endurance of a lifecycle, while ‘Forest Hunter’ delves into a recurring nightmare of being pursued in the woods. Later in life, I revisited these woods in a psilocybin session.” This gives just a peek into the kafkaesque corridors of Spekkis’s mind, leaving lingering questions for the listener for the rest of the release.

This LP not only embodies Spekki's artistic evolution in between alter egos - but also reflects the essence of Amniote Editions' five-year journey of curating forward-thinking electronic music. With influences ranging from 90s Dutch Goa to tribal rhythms, Spekki infuses a groove and funkiness throughout the album, balancing dance floor energy with cinematic sound design. 'HoxV-2: Spekki Webu x Heliobolus - Phylogenetic Analysis' is a testament to both the artist’s and the label's commitment to pushing boundaries, making this release a landmark moment in their shared history.
