"Onda" is something of a lazy sunshine classic; a perfect example of laidback Brazilian jazz-funk that blends a samba sensibility with distinct soul, funk and disco influences. The original single by Brazilian composer-turned-artist Genival Cassiano dos Santos, has long been an in-demand item for Disco and Balearic DJs. 

For this edit we worked with our Brazillian pals Fatnotronic adding some extra percussion, an acid line, and some new textures to the already awesome original.

It first appeared on our "Stir It Up" mixtape and Fatnotronic's Diplo & Friends BBC Radio1 mix. Soon it will see a vinyl release on Chit Chat's "Brazilian Edits" series Volume 1. Available October 2014 via Chit Chat Records.

This was not planned, but this track incorporates musical themes I composed decades ago for a movie that only exists in my mind. That movie is based on a novel that exists (in its unfinished form) only in my mind, too.
