If you’re looking for a complex work, SofaTalk delivers a hefty rework of ‘Space Jam’ paced by broken rhythms and synthesizer licks. 

If you’re looking for a dance floor track, the ‘Space Jam’ remix by Scruscru is made for you. Upbeat and joyful. 

Last Nubian brings to the table a heavy club remix of ‘Space Jam’, driven by 808s and his signature dissonant harmonies. 

The album ends on sample-filled, powerful ‘Space Jam’ remix by Berlin based producer Von Abseits. This well crafted work closes the album on a soothing yet slightly mysterious note, nodding at the narrative side of this album.

Before we call it the end of the week we have an exclusive premiere to share from one of our favourite producers, Sofatalk, with his new cut "Strut" for Boogie Cafe, featuring Veezo & The Mechanical Man.

SofaTalk is known for his wide ranging tastes that spans house, funk, neo-soul, jazz, broken beat and downtempo. He's the founder of Cognitiva Records and has a monthly residency on the ever-growing Universal Rhythms. His sounds can be found on Banoffee Pies Records, Yam, Ini Movement, Tusk Wax, Broken District, Omena, and Anma.

'Million Toes EP' is a collection of loungey deep house and intricate broken beat, laced with live instrumentation, the result being this wonderfully jazzy EP. It is comprised of four electronic jazz-funk infused house tracks.

"Strut" is a smooth percussive house jam, with soft and gentle jazz chords, dreamy layers and atmospherics that really kicks the EP off nicely with much of the same to follow.

Never a dull moment on Neroli: after a string of releases from the likes of Fred P, DEGO, Patrice Scott, Chaos in the CBD and Trinidadian Deep it’s now the turn of PATRICK GIBIN together with KAIDI TATHAM.
The duo has been already responsible for some heat on Patrick’s own Blend It label, and here they are teaming up once again for a whole EP. This time they enroll New Jersey majesty JOSH MILAN [of Blaze/Element of Life fame] on vocal duty [with extra the help of Dawn Tallman on backing vocals] and they turn the song ‘Love To The World’ into a modern day Classic…..Anthem Alert!
But there’s more evidence of brilliance from Gibin and Tatham with the boogie ‘Groove on’ and JazzFunk House joint ‘Don’t Be Rude’ where mr keyboard Kaidi lets loose on Bass and Guitar!

Flumo and ANMA Records join forces once again - this time for a collaborative project between UK based Contours and Yadava. Cosmic Echoes was built over numerous jam sessions fusing live percussion, bass, drum machine, synthesizers and field recordings to create a raw EP full of soul and warmth.

‘Start First Finish Last’ opens up with smooth keys and alluring bass solo. The drum and percussion interplay keeps the up beat rhythm flowing, allowing for the bass to enhance on a Balearic and laid-back dance groove. ‘
‘Udu' takes the vibe on a more beat-driven road, with interlocking Kit and Udu patterns, floating keys and rolling synth arpeggios cutting in and out of the groove. ‘Speaking Through Broken Shells’, gets back on the bass and drum heavy interaction, with lots of influences from UK jazz scene.
 
The B-side starts off with a more familiar house groove. ‘Low Slung’, is a nod to the eyes down moments on the dance floor, with raw hats and shakers swirling around synth swells and heavy synth bass for introspective bliss.
‘Cascades’ swaps over to an atmospheric soundscapes, with plenty of stereo play and rich sound quality, making it easy to get lost in a jungle of flutes, keys and rain-line percussion notes.
 
NIAN’s remix of Cascades, takes the atmosphere up a beat and subs the rolling bass with broken beat rhythm, while Skygaze remix, of the same track, adds liquidity and reshapes the atmospheric sound into a more dance floor orienting mix.
