Humanoid Podcast 024 w/ Sammy B

Soul Deep Digital & Kontrast are proud to announce the release of the Lost Control EP, which is now available on all major digital stores and streaming sites.  The Bristol-based producer returns to Soul Deep with another classic collection of blissful liquid beats.  With previous releases on Intrigue, Lockdown, and Soul Flex, continues to compile an impressive back catalog of tracks that highlights his skills at creating lush dance floor grooves.  The Lost Control EP further proves that his production prowess is only getting stronger over time.  

The release kicks off with the title track, “Lost Control,” with features wavering synth pads, snappy drums, a filtered Reese-sounding baseline, and soulful vocals.  “Reach” is up next and features classic breaks, echoing vocals, deep sub-basslines, and epic pads.  “Too Close” takes over next and is driven by uplifting piano keys, steady drums, Rhodes keys, and a rolling bassline.  To round out the EP, “Without Love,” demonstrates a more stripped down sound with squelchy mid-bass tones, and “Ember River,” which brings a bit of a heavier dancefloor vibe.  Overall, Kontrast brings the goods on this release and proves why he’s one to watch!!  Press play and lose control!

Wir waren zu Gast bei FAT:VIBEZ. Der Radio Sendung von Jivee und ACE auf Radio Blau in Leipzig. Hinter den Mikrofonen sprachen wir über 10 Jahre Punchblog, neue Releases, die Drum&Bass Szene in Mitteldeutschland und beantworteten die ein oder andere Überraschungsfrage. Neben dem Interview gab es natürlich auch Musik auf die Ohren. Also viel Spaß beim nachhören.

Punchblog.de ist seit dem 01.September 2014 das Projekt der zwei Erfurter DJs und Musikliebhaber Andreas Trümper und Karl Weske. Inzwischen als Trio aktiv und mit Maximilian Balcerek erweitert, versorgen sie die Leser ihres persönlichen Blogs mit interessanten Artikeln. Die Homepage bietet die Möglichkeit sich im deutschsprachigen Raum über Releases, Mixtapes, Livestreams und Events rund um Drum & Bass, Jungle, Footwork sowie anderer Broken Underground Musik zu informieren. Neben Blogartikeln und Eventdates gehört auch eine eigene Mixseries zum Blog. Unter dem Namen PUNCHMIX erscheinen in regelmäßigen Abständen Mixtapes von diversen Künstlerinnen und Künstlern. So waren im Blog bereits Gäste wie Paul SG, SubMarine, ReDraft oder Velocity vertreten. Musikalisch wird das Trio in ihrer Podcast-Reihe aktiv, in der sie neue und alte Release vorstellen.

Der „Punch“, aus dem englischen übersetzt „Schlag“ und in der Drum&Bass Produktion ein wichtiger Charakter für die Soundabmischung, soll im Namen des Blogs als Synonym für die Kraft von Drum & Bass sowie für die Schlagzeilen der Artikel stehen.
