Eschaton - The 2024 Omni Sessions Volume 1

Abwechslungsreich und vielseitig gestaltet sich die 12. Ausgabe der PunchMix Reihe. Veranlasser dafür sind die beiden Brüder T:Base & Level C aus Chemnitz.

Bereits seit der frühen Kindheit liegt das große Interesse Beider in der Musik. Was für T:Base das Produzieren und Komponieren von Liquid Tunes ist, ist für Level C das Verwalten und Publizieren dieser Songs. Die Kombination beider Vorlieben veranlasste Sie dazu, ihre Hobbys handfest zu machen. Daher gründeten sie im Jahr 2013 ihr gemeinsames Label ‚C-Recordings‘, mit dem sie schon jetzt große Erfolge feiern.

Platzierungen in den oberen Reihen der Juno und Beatport Drum & Bass Charts, sowie der erfolgreiche CD Release ‚Times Change‘ zeigen, wie aufstrebend ihr Label ist. Aber auch außerhalb von C-Recordings konnte sich T:Base mit Produktionen auf Soul Deep Recordings, Celsius und Liquid Tones einen Namen machen.

Hinter den Decks agieren die beiden Chemnitzer Brüder jedoch lieber zu zweit und mischen das Partyvolk gehörig auf. Neben regionalen Gigs in Chemnitz, Leipzig und Jena, reicht ihr Erfolg bereits bis an die Themse. Ihre Sets sind eine vielseitige Abwechslung aus Power-Liquid und Neurofunk Drum & Bass. Zappeln und Mitwippen ist also vorprogrammiert, so auch in unserem PunchMix!

Codename: RCRDS favourite NonRev returns with ‘Dreamstep EP’, which provides another stunning snapshot of this burgeoning artists distinctive take on fast soul music.

‘The Mist Comes Across’ kicks things off with crunchy tech breaks contrasting with dreamy atmospheric flavours for a unique roller which works equally well on dancefloors and home systems.  ‘Immersive Experience’ does exactly what it says on the tin, drawing the listener away towards a deep world of beautiful pads and funky brass tones before ‘Sunshine’ takes us deeper into a dreamlike state with its haunting soundscapes and morphing leads.  

The EP closes with ‘Insightful’, where a blissful intro gives way to to climbing riffs and rolling breaks to bring this vibrant release to a stunning close.  This talented artist is sitting at the top of his game right now, and this release represents another outstanding chapter in the irrepressible rise of all things NonRev.

Rizzle - Dispatch x SINE - Guest Mix

Punchblog.de ist seit dem 01.September 2014 das Projekt der zwei Erfurter DJs und Musikliebhaber Andreas Trümper und Karl Weske. Inzwischen als Trio aktiv und mit Maximilian Balcerek erweitert, versorgen sie die Leser ihres persönlichen Blogs mit interessanten Artikeln. Die Homepage bietet die Möglichkeit sich im deutschsprachigen Raum über Releases, Mixtapes, Livestreams und Events rund um Drum & Bass, Jungle, Footwork sowie anderer Broken Underground Musik zu informieren. Neben Blogartikeln und Eventdates gehört auch eine eigene Mixseries zum Blog. Unter dem Namen PUNCHMIX erscheinen in regelmäßigen Abständen Mixtapes von diversen Künstlerinnen und Künstlern. So waren im Blog bereits Gäste wie Paul SG, SubMarine, ReDraft oder Velocity vertreten. Musikalisch wird das Trio in ihrer Podcast-Reihe aktiv, in der sie neue und alte Release vorstellen.

Der „Punch“, aus dem englischen übersetzt „Schlag“ und in der Drum&Bass Produktion ein wichtiger Charakter für die Soundabmischung, soll im Namen des Blogs als Synonym für die Kraft von Drum & Bass sowie für die Schlagzeilen der Artikel stehen.
