,Hobo Chang are a 5 piece band  from North East Essex. They write original songs and sound like a
 a dark psychedelic funky train ride, experimental and soulful with their roots in blues, jazz, reggae and the good bits of rock.
 
 In a world of bands that sound like other bands Hobo Chang sound like Hobo Chang
 
Recently they secured a 5yr publishing deals with  their 2013 debut  album Smalltown Troubles. and Their 2nd album BEAST which  is due for release 10th April 2017
They have  headlined some fantastic venues, played festivals, live radio shows,charity gigs, wakes, boats and the occasional very unconventional wedding, they have gigged with  Lee Scratch Perry & The Upsetters, Toots & The Maytals, John Cooper Clarke The Vibrators, The Beat, Easy Star Allstars The Buzzcocks, Geno Washington and many more well known artists
 
They  have a strong fan base, support from  press, a healthy social media, prescence, you tube plays, internet radio plays and have had the ocassional tune played on BBC Radio 6 Music, BBC Essex Introducing, BBC Suffolk Introducing
 
They produce and release  their own EPs and Albums and all artwork and merchandising is done by the band.
