I love Leah and I love Leahs' poetry and I love Paul and I LOVE PUNKDISCO.  GIVE ME MORE.

A quick and dirty Mix/Re-Mix/Master of an Track from the london-based electronic-duo Punkdisco. Feedback is welcome! Mostly important about how this version sounds on your music system (This track is to test my brandnew calibrated studio-setup in a real life situation). 

About the band:
Punkdisco are a London‑based writing team comprising singer Leah and producer Paul. The track 'Oral Hygiene' was born of a snatch of conversation Paul overheard between Leah and a friend at a party. Taking this single line back to the studio a few hours later, a main hook was laid down with HardSID's 4U SID‑based synth, after which Leah quickly came up with the other few lines and the rest of the track was built around that.

Vocals are courtesy of Julia Hodson, who I would like to get a copy of this to at some point. If she has kids.......a lot of entertainment value listening to mum 20-odd years ago !

The songs were composed between October 2004 and February 2010.  After a long abstinence of synth music making, a chance to contribute to a collaborative CD project opened the creative flood banks.  Rapid acquisition of vintage and modern gear, both hardware and software followed to create a diverse range of moods, textures and soundscapes.

Voynich represents the darker, broodier compositions, Strellis defines the lighter more joyous songs and Chromic pumps out blatant dance tracks.  This is the Holy Trinity, the divine work of creation, redemption, providence and judgment, each of the Three has a different but not an independent role.
