Ascending like the Sky fire (sun) in the East, The Uprising Roots is borne out of Rockfort, East Kingston. Rising up with an assertive musical defiance, to bring forth a positive progressive change amongst humanity. This band of musicians’ mission is to use the power of t heir music to manifest this positive change. Uprising roots is no ordinary band as they occupies the “Upper room” of reggae music and is dubbed as The “Element of Surprise”. Uprising Roots performance brings a breath of fresh air to the stage and is the modern antique of reggae music.

One Drum is a Roots Reggae band based on the Front Range of Colorado.  The sound is heavily influenced by Roots Reggae & World music.  Deep bass lines combine with steady rhythms and trance-like chord progressions. The vocals are lyrically driven with singing, chanting and harmonies.  Central to the mission is a message of truth & rights. They released their debut full length album 'Basic Needs' in June of 2023

Eesah, is a composer, songwriter, and performance artiste. The name Eesah is developed from Jamaican patwa slang, “dat bad eesah”. The meaning of "Eesah" is an expression indicating excitement when something is enjoyable. He received the name based on his lyrical ability. Eesah’s keen wit and quick thinking enrich his delivery style.
