Up and coming producer, Odd/Even label boss and close Stockholm Ltd affiliate Andre Kronert arrives with an astounding 3 track EP, completed by a deadly Len Faki Dub.

Kronert has risen through the ranks yet stayed true to his reduced, warm and powerful sound strategy. The opening track G.I.A.N.T makes for a wonderfully tense opener, with its expansive dark sound design and deep dub kick arriving around the half-way point. This is countersigned then by two more energetic tracks in the shape of The Throne Room and Fallen Space, both pivoting over a fulcrum of classic synth hooks and carefully honed percussion.

Len Faki takes The Throne Room into a different mental zone, with his almost tropical Dub version, ensnaring a freaky pitched motif to accent and build upon Andre's powerful original elements. Classic reduction, and an EP of classic Figure contemporary Techno.

Joining forces once again, label heads Esvogt, ADM and Oliver Schädel deliver three tracks with varying functionality for their fourth installment 'Pure Conscience 04'.  

Drawing from the urge to stack endless layers of rattling drums and trippy leads during his sets, Esvogt contributes his analog-sourced tool track 'Pristine Cut', perfect for those early morning mixes. 

ADM returns once again with an action-packed peek timer 'Transit', sending listeners deep into space with an ebb and flow of mean laser synths and transcending vocal textures.  

 Lastly, Oliver Schädel gives us a powerful nostalgia-dripping demonstration of techno in 'Waves', filled to the brim with irresistibly groovy drum patterns but never losing sight of those dangerously entrancing pad atmospheres.

'Halahli EP' by Esvogt

For the fifth installment on Pure Conscience, the upcoming Esvogt delivers four highly functional techno grooves made for club use. 

The EP kicks off with its lead piece ‘Halahli‘, a highly robust techno tool made up of trippy soundscapes and organic drum elements, all layered on top of a ruthless kick and bassline that is sure to make the dancefloor rumble. 

‘Keetmannshop‘ upholds the energy with a playful yet stern synthesizer loop at the core, accompanied by further melodic textures and powerful, raw machine-drum style hats and crashes. 

Sedvs’ version of ‘Keetmannshop‘ takes this piece to an even fiercer level, presenting a mean, no-fuss synthie loop as the star of the show, together with forward-marching gritty hats and claps for variation. Sedvs showing what he does best, once again. 

The EP is rounded off with Esvogt’s hypnotic, yet at times still feral and unpredictable ‘Nautuk‘, consisting of analog drum layers that ebb and flow throughout the track, and intriguing bleeps and fades sourced straight from outer space.

Sharing the same forward-facing approach to techno music, it was about time that Roman DJ and producer Adiel lands her debut EP on Stroboscopic Artefacts. Just a few months on from the drop of the label’s anniversary compilation ‘X – Ten Years of Artefacts’, featuring the broadest array of talents including Rrose, Shifted, Efdemin, Denise Rabe, Chevel, Lucy and more, the timing couldn’t be better for both her and Lucy’s mind-expanding visions to unify.

Following on from an array of 12-inches on her own imprint, including a recent joint effort with Anthony Linell, ‘If Not Now When?’ is an ode to the all-enveloping strangeness of eternal nights that cuts a path of ecstatic light in the dark. Breaking the ice, the title-track plunges us in an effervescing pool of menacing reverbs, bloopy signals and rippling synth tides on a murky tip, while its faster and sharper twin ‘At The Bottom Of The Sea’ vigorously ups the ante to ensure optimal peak time firepower.

Flip sides and here’s ‘If Not Me Who’ diving even deeper into tape-echo’ed bizarro, swashing back and forth from blunt lo-freq frenzy to liquid-like levitation. ‘ESRR’ rounds off the package on a further freaky note, merging heavily processed vocals and swampy, octave-shifting keyboard movements to form a slice of wild, cross-pollinated electronics laid upon a much enticing techno swing. The very epitome of surgically executed dance music with a fascinatingly soulful, nearly shamanic edge to it.
