upsammy (@upsammy) was a resident DJ at Amsterdam's much loved De School nightclub and words like "adventurous" are often used to describe her sets. As electricity blossoms and leaves glisten, upsammy creates interpretative space, cleverly paradoxical in its concurrent comfort and desolation. Known for her keen ear for crystalline melodies and intricate rhythms, her name is Thessa Torsing; she transcends traditional genre boundaries, creating a space where the digital and organic harmonize.

In her multimedia universe, Juliana Huxtable (@julianahuxtable) stands out as a DJ and musician with a distinctive approach to using the structures of music. While her visual art and poetry navigate the complexities of desire in an increasingly technologically mediated life, her music goes further, using the sounds of technology to construct parallel realities embodied in rhythm and harmonic tableaux.

Huxtable's DJ sets skillfully incorporate the notion of sampling and re-blogging as strategies, blending a diverse array of influences that play at the boundaries of genre, balancing intuition and experimentation. Her performances never adhere to the mainstream; each one is a loud declaration of freedom and an ode to the evolutionary structure of electronic music subcultures. They aim for the sublime, evoking what can only be described as witchcraft behind the decks, grinding down shattered and decayed sounds with the force of a chainsaw. Sharp beats pierce through the mind, like sudden storms of industrial grit, experimental club, and relentless Techno pounding relentlessly.

Beyond her role as a DJ and musician, Juliana Huxtable is an American artist, writer, performer, and co-founder of the New York-based nightlife project, Shock Value. Her multidisciplinary art practice explores various projects, including the internet, the body, history, and text, often through a process she terms "conditioning." She is a published author, a member of the House of Ladosha collective, and part of the talent agency Discwoman. Huxtable's interdisciplinary practice delves into topics such as identity, the body, and text, drawing influences from Afrofuturism and science fiction. Her recent works explore language, conspiracy theories, fashion, and various countercultures. Notably, her visual practice involves examining and remixing enduring imagery with symbolic power.

Helena Hauff (@helena-hauff) expertly curated DJ sets spanning acid, electro, techno, EBM, and post-punk. Her powerful drum beats collide with freely wandering melodies. Her sound is tailor-made for those who appreciate raw, yet restrained intensity, dragging the dance floor into a frosty abyss. Her debut album "A Tape" in 2015 garnered attention for its intricate manipulation of sound, where she meticulously arranges gritty and rough noises, filling in the gaps with rhythmic intricacies. Her other releases, "Discreet Desires" and the EP "Have You Been There, Have You Seen," experimentally layer and intertwine, with twisted waveforms akin to rusted artifacts, creating an unfriendly listening experience that compels bodily movement to escape Helena Hauff's auditory swamp. It evokes sounds from the Hague's western coast in the Netherlands—blending synthesized tones of Italo Disco with the gritty spirit of Detroit. Despite its unfriendliness, "Have You Been There, Have You Seen" still offers warmth and rhythmic service to dancers with tracks like "Nothing Is What I Know" and "Gift." This year, renowned dance label fabric Records recognized Helena Hauff's unique selections and released "fabric presents Helena Hauff," recreating the dance scenes she once fostered at the Golden Pudel club in Hamburg, Germany.

Gigging incessantly (and still lugging a heavy box of records across the world), Helena's reputation earned her an invitation to join the BBC Radio 1 Residency. She was the subject of cover features for Crack Magazine and DJ Mag, played headline sets at Sonar (b2b with Ben UFO) and Dekmantel, and at the end of 2017, Crack Magazine declared Helena "The Most Exciting DJ In The World (Right Now)" and her ballistic BBC Essential Mix was voted the best of 2017. With razor-sharp precision, her melodies redefine Electro/Techno, adhering to her signature cold and dark taste over the past decade, regardless of current musical trends. Utilizing turntables for minimalist yet forceful performances, she effortlessly navigates between peaks and troughs, even with the risk of needle skips, confidently rolling cigarettes as she cruises at high speeds between highs and lows, making her a unique and standout figure in the scene.

Omen Wapta (@omenwapta) is an electronic music label and multidisciplinary platform based in Delft, Netherlands, founded by Dutch artist Woody92 (@woodyninetytwo). The word "Omen Wapta" has no intended meaning, it just it. It aims to take listeners into unexplored realms of the mind, sparking illusion-like visuals. Through ever-changing textures, vibrating frequencies, and expanding spaces, it ventures freely across different dimensions. The label endeavors to mark a faint sound suspended in the universe, with each album featuring crisp, high-speed percussion that echoes as if falling into a pit teeming with reptiles and insects, emitting creaking and cutting sounds, while also transmitting the chanting of shamans, swirling up raw and primitive energy, invoking wisdom from the ancient world in the jungle.

Brussels-based Mika Oki (@mikaoki1) is a polymath of the arts, seamlessly blending her background in  sculpture and electro-acoustic music to craft immersive experiences that defy conventional boundaries. Much like a sculptor meticulously wielding her tools to shape raw materials into intricate forms, Oki's selections as a DJ exhibit a masterful finesse and meticulous preparation. Her eclectic mixes effortlessly blend nostalgic dance anthems with obscure gems, weaving together disparate elements into a tapestry of sonic coherence that never fails to astonish. Venturing into the realms of DJ and radio shows, Oki translates her atmospheric experiments into pulsating sets that blur the boundaries between explosive bass, dub, mutating vocals and ambient narratives.

The Belgian producer SKY H1 (@sky_h1) presents a sound impression reminiscent of mirages and exquisite mists, swirling above mountain peaks like a dreamlike scene from a cosmos. Her mastery lies in the intricate arrangement of melodies and beats, meticulously crafted to perfection. SKY H1's works capture the blurring lines between her foundational experiences in drum and bass, grime, dubstep, and techno, all tilted towards the schematic bursts of pop, successfully infusing her profound taste into the sleepless dance floor.

u.r.trax (@urtrax) is a producer, DJ, and vocalist from Paris. She delivers eclectic DJ performances, showcasing a diverse sonic selection. From trippy techno to rough and cold electro, "backroom" dark trance and deconstructed rhythms, and the latest elements of contemporary club music, u.r.trax advocates for "immersive music for the mind." The result is a highly streamlined percussion sound and bizarre melodies; the visuals freeze-frame before your eyes, vibrant and colorful, initiating an apocalyptic journey of free-flowing temporal transitions.

One of Berlin's most impactful artists, Silvia Jiménez Alvarez aka JASSS (@jass-29) is a Berlin-based sound artist, producer and DJ born and raised in Asturias in northern Spain, she continually disrupts continually disrupts the conventions of electronic dance music. Rooted in heavy bass, she flawlessly combines elements of techno, electro, DnB, pop samples, tribal rhythms, and folk melodies, developing an offbeat musical language with a mysterious cult film vibe. As a resident member of Berghain's Säule and Herrensauna, her precise control over the nighttime atmosphere is undeniable. Her sensory stimulation is intense, ranging from fast to slow, light to dark, with tightly packed, highly impactful climaxes. The bright metallic sounds draw listeners in irresistibly, leaving them entranced until the set is over.

Her album "A World Of Service," released under Ostgut Ton, sits at the intersection of abstract electronics and baroque industrial pop. Her bold and effortless approach stems from her experiences with mental illness, exploring fragmented and disintegrating sounds and vocals. Through lyrics and music, she deconstructs the self, revealing dimensions of life amidst chaotic forms and tumultuous thoughts, like a dark and lavish drama. Two tracks featured in the highly acclaimed Whities series from the AD 93 label are said to be inspired by her formative years during the rave era. These tracks sound both retro and futuristic, deadly in every second, and effortlessly sweep across major dance floors.

His performances often last three hours, yet feel like just one track due to their extreme depth, calm restraint, and perfect balance of strength and delicacy. This meticulous Japanese spirit ensures everything is as it should be, earning him the reputation of a "resilient and highly fluid" electronic maestro. Igarashi describes his unique sound as "cosmic drama," blending dense, highly crystallized rhythms with psychedelic tones. His crystalline sound and masterful control over rhythm, with his signature fast-paced arpeggios, stand out on the dance floor, creating a continuous dancing experience.

His productions are meticulously crafted for maximum impact, reflecting a certain Japanese aesthetic. This is showcased brilliantly in a series of EPs on Midgar, Bitta, and The Bunker NY, receiving widespread acclaim from fans and critics alike, and appearing in RA’s top tracks of 2019. Earlier this year, to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the renowned London nightclub fabric, Wata Igarashi and DJ Nobu, two Japanese techno giants, were featured together, each presenting their extraordinary talent tracks "Flares" and "泡 (Abuku)."

"An ode to the noisy underground aka noise tantra…" — Nkisi (@nkisi)

"They are sculptures from the Congo kingdom," says Melika Ngombe Kolongo, describing the origin of her artist name, Nkisi. "They’re from pre-colonial times, for ritual practices — a way to communicate with the ancestors. It’s like a human figurine with all these nails in its body."

Nkisi aka Me Li Ka , is one of the most prominent experimental sound artists/producers today. Born in Congo and now based in London, she blends a unique African cosmology with radical Hardcore, Gabber, and African tribal rhythms, combining brain-massaging IDM with explosive Juke rhythms to create innovative hybrids that embody the infinite resilience of electronic music. Her work has appeared on labels such as Warp's Arcola, which focuses on club music, and Lee Gamble's UIQ, producing work that transcends genre labels. Last month, she released a new EP, The Altar, decoding and recoding ancestral forms of rhythm and melody, emerges as an invisible sonic architecture, a temporary temple.


Her exploration of electronic music began with photography. Dissatisfied with the visually-driven society and its inherent stereotypes, she sought a different form of expression—one rooted in emotion and experience. She says, "Through cross-rhythms and rhythms that induce altered states of consciousness, the dance floor becomes a singularity for collective communication and a higher-dimensional connection with sound and environment." In 2015, NKISI also co-founded the experimental label NON WORLDWIDE, providing a platform for African and diaspora musicians.

As a central figure of two major Stockholm labels, YEAR0001 and Northern Electronics, Varg2™ (@varg2tm) is one of Sweden's most significant producers today. Renowned for his iconic rebellious aesthetics and various cross-genre collaborations, he has worked with artists such as Skrillex, Yung Lean, Bladee, Ecco2k, and Eartheater. His all-encompassing musical vision and fearless innovation, disregarding rules, set him apart.

First coming to prominence running Stockholm’s Northern Electronics label with Anthony Linell, Varg2™’s early releases fused misanthropy with techno’s primal parts. Marked by a prolific work rate and a perceptive ear for collaboration, in 2016 his anarchic operations gave rise to the Nordic Flora Series. The series saw Varg2™ put trap and EDM into orbit with ambient and electro-acoustic experimentation to devastating effect. This fed directly into the creation of his label Cease 2 Exist, which was inaugurated in 2020. Giving space to explore frenetic hyperpop crossed with trap, and all the while nodding to Sweden’s EDM culture, Varg2™ has made perfect sense of his incomprehensible mix of collaborators and tastes. He’s at home working with Sweden’s rap vanguard—Yung Lean, Bladee, Thaiboy Digital—just as he is working with everyone from Eartheater, Skrillex, and Rx Papi to Alessandro Cortini, CTM, and Blackhaine. With a singular vision, Varg2™ wears his lust for life and chaos on his sleeve.

Building on his first frenzied EP for YEAR0001—the recent Lonestar Pandemonium EP—as well as his manic curation with Cease 2 Exist, Varg2™ now presents the sixth and final installment of the Nordic Flora Series. Entitled Nordic Flora Series Pt.6: Outlaw Music, the album discloses everything that has led to this point. Like an austere vandal, Varg2™ has only increased the turbulence with Outlaw Music. Twisting cutting-edge aesthetics with his taste for wry melancholy, his masterful productions feature a slew of guests. Skrillex, and Ecco2K appear across the album’s brightest tracks, while darker yet delicate moments tap Rx Papi, Eartheater for input.

With Outlaw Music at the apex, Varg2™’s Nordic Flora Series is bold and ambitious, but most of all it’s maniacally tender through all the anxiety. If it seems evasive, you probably can’t relate to it.

From his early releases on the legendary german imprint raster-noton, to his more recent output aimed at the club, Kangding Ray (@kangding-ray) managed to trace a singulartra jectory, navigating the unexplored territories between experimental and dance music.

Through his consistency as Live performer and DJ, and with a number of critically acclaimed releases under his belt, Kangding Ray showed his ability to keep a genuine artistic approach, while slowly crafting a unique universe, equally focused on emotional response and visceral impact.

Kangding Ray’s music tests boundaries, evolving constantly in its exploration of texture and rhythms, while talking equally to the body and the mind. From his past as architect, Kangding Ray kept a multidisciplinary approach to art, applying his craft in diverse artistic fields such as visual arts, film scores, audiovisual installations and dance performances.

With a first credit on Charli xcx's seminal mixtape Pop 2, umru (@umru) was quickly recruited by A. G. Cook to co-produce the highlight track «I Got It». The release of his debut EP search result on A.G. Cook's PC Music revealed his strength in merging intense, bass-heavy sound design with earworm melodies from a lineup of the internet's most influential vocal talent including Lewis Grant & Laura Les (of 100 gecs). umru’s work has gone on to excel in and help define the emerging space right between underground & pop, from his star-studded 7-minute «movinglikeazombie (remix)» with ericdoa (named one of the best tracks of 2020 by NPR) to production for Yung Kayo, Caroline Polachek, Tommy Cash, or Fraxiom, to his sound cache sample pack series that has become an industry staple, extending beyond his own productions as a defining sonic influence on modern music production.

Umfang (@umfang) is a music producer and DJ based in NYC. Focused on an affection for heavy records from the past, she has performed in clubs, institutions and festivals in over 20 countries including Berghain, Dekmantel, MoMa PS1, Southbank Centre London, Dimensions Festival Croatia. She frequently plays in NYC at Basement, Public records, and Paragon. In addition to DJing she has produced 6 albums. Known for amorphous, polyrhythmic soundscapes, she has scored for runway, art exhibitions, and dance performances. In 2014 Umfang cofounded artist agency and platform Discwoman which aimed to offset representational imbalances within the music industry. She founded a digital music label 'Thanks For Enlightening Me' in March 2020. Her work has been covered in The New Yorker, Forbes, FACT, i-D, NPR, Pitchfork, and Resident Advisor.

Known for her cutting-edge approach to techno, gabber, breakcore, IDM, noise and industrial music, E-Saggila (@e-saggila) is an Iraq-born producer and DJ based in Toronto. Her crystalline, high-speed soundscapes construct a deep sense of spatial awareness, with pulsating basslines crashing into mind-bending melodies, interwoven with diverse and dazzling percussion patterns, reminiscent of watching a dark sci-fi epic in a futuristic world.

"My World My Way," released in 2019 on Northern Electronics, perfectly embodies her bold experimental sound, immersing listeners in the subtle contrasts between rapid rhythms and distorted textures, where everything seems poised to collapse at any moment. In 2021, she released work in PAN's renowned white label club-focused Split series where the jarring explosions evoke the sound of bones shattering. Other artists in this series, such as Tzusing, M.E.S.H., Toxe, and Crystalmess, each represent extremely unique voices in their own right.

Los Angeles based producer Kingdom (@kkingdomm) has built substantial influence with both his own discography and the output from his Fade to Mind imprint. He first began to make a name for himself in New York City via a series of mixtapes and club nights, rejecting traditional genre limitations while adeptly combining elements of underground club music with currents of rap and R&B, developing his own potent strain of dance music. His unique, otherworldly yet bass heavy productions and DJ sets morph influences from the US, UK and beyond, finding common threads and pulling them apart at the seams.

After creating several runway soundtracks for burgeoning fashion label Hood By Air, and DJing at some of the first ever Ghe20 Goth1k (NYC) and Night Slugs (UK) events, Kingdom moved to Los Angeles to join friends Total Freedom and Nguzunguzu where they founded Fade to Mind, fostering a growing group of experimental musicians and songwriters and cementing the the label's cult following. In 2013 he garnered widespread acclaim for his work both producing and creative directing Kelela’s debut project CUT 4 ME and its breakout single "Bank Head". 

His 2017 debut album Tears in the Club featured collaborations with SZA and Syd, and his latest  LP Neurofire expanded his musical universe further, introducing a more turbulent and textured sound palette, as well as debuting new vocal talents Kayla Blackmon and Semma. 2022, 2023, and 2024 has found Kingdom collaborating closely with breakout star Shygirl on her UK top 40 charting album Nymph, plus two productions on her latest “Club Shy” project, as well as collaborations with Tinashe and ABRA.

Kingdom launched successful Fade to Mind 11-year Anniversary celebrations in 2023 in NYC and L.A., which featured performances from Bobby Beethoven (FKA Total Freedom), MikeQ, Venus X, Ms. Boogie, and many more. He has performed extensively across North and South America, Asia, and Europe, and has been featured in publications such as The New York Times, The Fader, Dazed and Confused, Pitchfork, and Artforum.

"Best Album of 2023" — Resident Advisor

This year, Björk invited Mun Sing (@munsing) to perform alongside cutting-edge producers like Jlin, Shygirl, and Sega Bodega at her party. As a member of the renowned Bristol techno duo Giant Swan, Mun Sing’s solo work is infused with the same frenzied elements: hardcore-style guttural roars, gritty industrial noise, and hard-hitting beats that pack a punch.

Compared to Giant Swan’s wild, roaring energy, Mun Sing’s solo project is more fragmented and sharp, yet his sound design consistently meets a high standard. His debut album "Inflatable Gravestone," released on Planet Mu, features a striking clash of metallic sounds while reflecting on the significance of humor and distraction as coping mechanisms, creating a world where functionality and experimentation in dance music coexist. Since last year, he has ventured into the fashion world, regularly composing runway music for the Swedish fashion brand Acne Studios, where he freely explores a more refined and sophisticated side.

Born and raised in Berlin, ALCATRAZ (@alcatrazworldwide) had early contact with the local music scene, frequently attending parties and clubs he would later DJ himself.

He joined the artist collective and label Live From Earth and has been one of the main up-and-coming faces of Berlin’s new-wave. While debuting at Panorama Bar at just 21 years, he’s been playing at internationally renowned venues and events, such as Blitz Club, PRST, Watergate, E1, Mondo Disko or DGTL.

His sets are characterized by pulsating rhythms and deep basslines, layered with atmospheric synths and that transport listeners on a journey of euphoria. Having carved out a niche that blends energetic trance with dreamy progressive house and techno, he’s never scared of experimenting and moves within a wide range of genres.

While stirring up Europe’s dance floors, ALCATRAZ has been a rising star in the German music industry, with productions like amore çok, which became one of the leading summer anthems in 2023.

After joining Brutalismus 3000 as a support act on their Europaträume Tour in 2024 and being part of Mura Masa’s club tour, he’s been working on a new collection of work named "Eurotrash," which spans between Electro-pop, Bloghouse and Berlin.

When Two Shell's (@twoshell) "home" appeared almost from nowhere at the end of 2021, it didn't take long before it was a ubiquitous anthem at any self-respecting club space across the world. The mysterious masked British duo had stumbled upon a magical formula, obscuring vocals snipped from Danish pop band CHINAH's 'Away From Me' and juxtaposing them with surprisingly hyperpop-influenced beats. Endorsed by Four Tet, Ben UFO, Jamie XX, and Mary Anne Hobbs, Two Shell put a cartoonish spin on garage, techno, dubstep and jungle sounds, and are already raking in acclaim for their latest EP 'Icons', inviting comparison to Drexciya, Daft Punk and The Chemical Brothers. Who ever they are, it's certain that they're not far from superstardo.

As the hidden gem of the renowned independent label Young, Two Shell collaborated with label-mate superstar FKA twigs on the single "Talk To Me" this year and released their self-titled debut album, "Two Shell." Known for their signature broken beats, garage influences, and catchy melodies, their experimental blend of glitchy sound effects and booming bass punches hints at the heatwave Two Shell is set to bring to the dance floor—a final burst of warmth before winter arrives.

At the outdoor raves they host, the sunrise holds profound significance, becoming something akin to a ritual. The passage of time awakens an awareness of the soul, and the sunrise offers the most direct way to experience it. In the darkness of night, this sense of spirituality is often absent, but the sunrise reawakens it, calling it back into the empty body. Evangelists of Eastern Non-corporeal Trance sent from the land of the rising sun. Founded in Tokyo in 2021 as a rave crew, this sect has experimental roots in ambient music and deconstructed club music that has emerged across Asia in recent years.Building on these roots, they deconstruct corporeal club music through their unique interpretation, striving to achieve spiritual elevation. They hold raves irregularly at coastal areas, ruins, and warehouses around Tokyo. They also operate an independent, private network on a certain chat app for community-based activities. As a DJ unit, they actively tour worldwide, performing in Asia and Europe. Their label project, "Mizuha 罔象 (@mizuha-cc)" focuses exclusively on the spiritual aspect, gathering innovative works from around the world.

BEA1991 (@1991bea) – she is a Dutch-English audiovisual artist and songwriter with a background in aerial acrobatics. Because of her personal fluidity, overall beliefs, and the variety of her work, she describes herself as a Pantheist Artist.

She gets excited about writing progressive pop music; working with popular elements while pushing boundaries on what could be experienced as accessible.

For her, sonic intelligence is found in "gilding the lily of human errors." Alongside producing and self-releasing music for over ten years, she also continuously undertakes projects that explore fashion and design, photography, acting, and art direction. Her music would not exist without these projects, and vice versa.

Being a self-taught artist with no degree, all her work to date is greatly led by autodidact processes, alongside her passion for intelligent satire and contemplative animism. Her work spans a wide musical spectrum, with elements of avant-garde pop, psychedelic, ambient music, and R&B blending together seamlessly, drawing listeners in and immersing them in a spectrum of colors. She has written music for other artists like Dev Hynes & Blood Orange, Sega Bodega, and Porches, and has toured alongside Caroline Polacheck, Robyn, Yves Tumor, Blood Orange, and Kirin J Callinan. She has played shows throughout the US, Europe, Latin America, and a few in Asia.

Since 2021, she has toured less heavily and started a consultancy practice where she helps other artists get to the core of their creator desires. The shows that she does perform are carefully curated and often made bespoke to collaborate intentionally with the venue, client, or program at hand.
