Marco Maldarella - designer, producer and DJ active in Bologna since 2016. Together with Christian Duka he is part of @marmo-927292184 an artistic collaboration (dis)located between London (UK) and Bologna (IT) that focuses on live performances ranging from experimental electronica, to left-field/off-kilter techno.

With a background in a metal band, following their 2017 debut split EP with Codex Empire on Khemia Records, and further releases on Metempsychosis, Corresponding Position, Esperpento. They have performed live between London (Unmasked London/Kaos Electrowerkz, The Glove That Fits, Anima Fest, Above Below, Aures London), Berlin (Tresor, Spectrum) and Italy (Link - Bologna, Kindergarten, Tank, ZR-Factory, Cocoricò).

Next up in our mix series is our good friend and collaborator from Amsterdam, Brent Jacko. As co-founder of Minimal Collective, he’s exploring the transversal relation between music and other artistic disciplines  - an overarching view he’s translating throughout his sonic body of work. He has been playing at places like De School, Ratherlost, and minutiae festival, where performances ranged from sitdown to dancefloor. With a blend of stipped-back textures, haunting atmospheres, and unexpected turns, he aims to sculpt thought-provoking landscapes to be absorbed and revisited. 

Embark on a journey as Brent delves into captivating hypnotic atmospheres of metallic artefacts and brooding organisms, meticulously crafting a mix that gradually escalates tension with each passing moment. Repping an oft overlooked Swiss techno contingent comes the next guest in Bassiani’s podcast series. Basel born and raised Garçon is one of the most promising names to call the bucolic town on the shores of the Rhine his home. He got an early start, mixing from the age of 14 and booked a mere two years later, assiduously cobbling together influences in his early work and soon delivering performances city-wide. First those at Hinterhof (now closed) and then those at local staple Elysia. With musical collaborator Agonis he’s also fired up techno label Amenthia Recordings, an agar dish for like-minded Basel music makers. His own sonic experiments are a purely live affair, and that’s no bad thing. Garçon’s escapades, from Waking Life to Barcelona’s Parallel have honed his voice and made of him an adept hand when faced with the strenuous demands of modulating crowd energy. Nodding to a range of influences across the electronic map he harbours a superlative talent for finding niche sounds at the fringes of common scope. Enter Podcast 208: towering, no-bullshit sounds, an hour of ghostly, mechanical whispers and powerful basslines, earth-shaking and infinitesimally precise techno from this connoisseur selector.
