05. Primordial Ooze And NojNor - Toadstools

Noj Nor is the project of Dj Ron Jon from Ottawa Canada. He has been producing since 2007 and made his first release on World People  records.

Ron Jon has been spinning psytrance since 2000. His sets have been described as high energy, deep and psychedelic. His highly influenced by the music he spins record labels such as Wildthings, Bom Shanka, Peak records, World People, Looney Moon and Parvati.

He has been actively playing events in Canada and sending dancefloor’s into complete madness. Earning a reputation as a highly sought after dj with a powerful stage presence.

He regularly played and helped organize a weekly night at a club called Mavericks and also at cafe Nostlagica before that. These nights respectively went for about two years each. This gave him the opportunity  to hone his skills and play a variety of different styles of psytrance in order to find out which were the best fit for him.

He has helped organize several parties in the Ottawa area with Prism code and Oya collective but has since taken a break from promotion and focused on music production.

He prefers a more psychedelic non cheesy style of psytrance. His music sounds like a fusion of psytrance, full on and twilight. Blasting not too dark, uplifting, groovy and intelligent.

Founded in 2008 by Dj Kikx, Purple Hexagon Records is a full-spectrum psychedelic music label that supports and is supported by the passion and enthusiasm of many psytrance aficionados around the world. Unpretentious and underground, this international grassroots label promotes psychedelic music, Djs and artists, showcasing the diverse talents of many of the party worlds unsung heroes - real and dedicated individuals making massive contributions to their respective local scenes in their own unique and special ways.

Just as mushroom mycelium links the whole world through invisible threads that grow day by day, Purple Hexagon believes that music can act as a bond that develops strong connections and positive friendships between communities and cultures. This can happen anywhere and it is not related to big bucks, binding agreements or to any alternative yet exclusive culture. Just as it happens with mushrooms, the strength comes from below; it is invisible and low-profile, yet strong and supportive.

Purple Hexagon is simply based on music and the infinite possibilities of real people who make it happen, actively sharing their talents and energies to add to the mesmerising diversity and reach of the global psystrance scene.
