Vision Thing are an alternative Folk  band based in the UK.

My music is improvisational, unschooled, and hard for me to explain, as my ear for notation knows what it likes, but doesn't know what to call it. I'm primarily a traditional and digital visual artist, tho with stints in theater and film as well. I have also taught part-time with the local college system.

I play four string banjo, some guitar, dulcimer, jawharp, some percussion and vocals and whatnot and run it all thru GarageBand to create what it ends up becoming. As with all my art, I proceed without a scaffold... and mercifully, recording allows for the saving of the net-less trapeze acts that don't fail. My albums are collections of takes that reach some emotional and musical resonance for me.

My influences range from artists like John Fahey to the central Asian sounds... with lots of experimental and electric music lurking in and around it.
