Before becoming an electronic music producer, Jérémie Herreman was a classically trained musician. At 18 years old, and after years at a conservatory playing piano, Jérémie discovered his love of music production and electronic music.
Addicted to the freedom and self-expression electronic music provides, Jérémie hasn’t stopped composing. Jérémie has had a wide-ranging career, producing his own signature tracks, collaborating with other musicians, and has even worked on short films and commercials. But « Boulevards » is Jérémie’s first officially released EP and it is both energetic and enlightening — a true techno
journey. The EP features intense percussive lines, transcendental drops, and heady mystic vocals. The EP asserts a strong sound identity where the listener can truly feel the artist’s years of classical training on full display.
You will find four different tracks included on this EP. The titular track « Boulevards » is all contrast and nuance — developing towards an epiphany of sound. It starts with a deep and intense beat, with cymbals leaving the listener in a trance-like state. Angelic voices haunt us and leave space for uncompromising, incisive synths. Between darkness and neon mental projections, this colorful track will bring everyone to the dancefloor!

This EP is probably the one we were the most curious for, given the limitless possibilities of interpreting the emotion surprise. We couldn’t be happier with what the amazing artists we’ve been working with for this EP came up with and can’t wait to release it into the world this Friday.
The second artist for the ‘surprise’ EP is a surprise himself. @timler_music is the freshly born side-project of Lunatique - who you might remember from his release ‘The Anthem’ from last year. "Another special release on Chrom: the first EP of our own label manager Pedro Mercado since the pandemic started! With this old school acid inspired collab called "Our Revolution" together with Phi-Phi, a living legend in Belgium, Pedro realises one of his childhood dreams.

French DJ and producer Phi-Phi played a key role in developing and popularizing the progressive house sound during the 90's. You can for sure say that he is one of the pioneers and founders of the electronic scene in Belgium with lots of residencies in legendary Belgian clubs where he played together with DJ's like Paul van Dyk, John Digweed, Danny Howells, Anthony Pappa, Sasha, Laurent Garnier, Oliver Lieb,... Phi-Phi is known for his excellent DJ mixing skills and storytelling sets. Production wise his long-time cohort with Philippe Van Mullem (R.I.P.) resulted in projects such as, Honey C, UNA, Innertales and Quadran. Phi-Phi had also some collaborations with Gregory Dewindt (Greg D), The Mackenzie, Roddy Reynaert and Airwave. All the tunes became Belgian or even European club hits. Nowadays Phi-Phi is mainly teaming up with Manu Riga and producing for himself a proper sound of quality melodic progressive electronic music. So needless to say that we are more than happy that Phi-Phi teamed up with our own label manager Pedro Mercado for this special collab on Chrom.

The first remixer comes out of Italy: nobody less then Christian Monique who has releases on labels such as The Soundgarden, Black Hole Recordings, Balkan Connection,... and is supported by big artists such as Nick Warren, Hernan Cattaneo, Adriatique, Guy J, Petar Dundov, and many more. Christian turns the original into a true progressive house anthem."

Like a soothing voice from the past, nostalgia signifies a sense of yearning for what was, perhaps even for what was lost. It’s an emotionally tainted view back onto bygone times, carrying both melancholy and solace in remembrance of the lost qualities we prescribe to them.

For his interpretation of nostalgia, the Melbourne-based Elliott Creed created an interplay of filled and open space within his track 'Depth of Emotions’. A careful choice of expressive synths and echoing cymbals build up to a fully immersive soundscape, just to then collapse into a minimalistic and airy moment, offering space for memories of nostalgia to arise and linger while the build-up starts anew.
