The 9th Series of PARKER & FRIENDS Podcast is here.  For the occasion, we have an artist from the UK who's been making a lot of noise recently, not just with his movements but also with his releases which are having a lot of support from some of the biggest names in the scene... It's Nathan Inman!  He has delivered an upbeat killer hour mix with a blend of house to funk & even garage inspired sounds, you are in for a real treat with this one. Also with Nathan set for a big year ahead on his release schedule, he's popped in some unreleased treats we can look forward to coming out later this year.

Nathan Inman emerged on to the scene with his unique style, earning him residencies at various parties across the country. Since his inception into the world of electronic music, he has embarked on a journey into crafting his own signature sound which is now taking shape as he builds a library of unreleased music spanning across multiple genres of underground music.

Starting out as a young clubber, Nathan's passion for the scene was driven by regularly attending events  at venues all over the country. This passion and time spent in the studio have culminated in him playing regular sets at some of the most respected venues the UK has to offer as well as him gaining support from some of the industries biggest names.

Progressing through the different styles of the underground scene, he took a keen interest in minimal house and UKG sounds which can be heard in his productions & sets.

With his eclectic taste Nathan is sure to be a name to look out for in the coming years.

The first mix of the series to stray away from festival stages comes from Jwalker who has rolled back the years with a mix inspired by Carl Cox’s famous Revolution night at Space Ibiza. Widely regarded as one of the best clubs of all time before it closed, many of us never had the chance to go and see for ourselves. This mix will either give you a taste of what you missed out on or bring memories flooding back from those nights on the terrace.

Here’s what he had to say about the mix and the club:

I was lucky enough to visit the legendary Space Ibiza several times before it closed back in 2016. Carl Cox’s revolution parties every Tuesday were something special and heavily influenced my early musical taste. The parties always had the perfect blend of underground house & techno. The records I remember clearly from that time came from producers like, Kydus, David Glass, Saytek and ofcourse Deetron, with the defining track of that era being the masterpiece ‘Photon’. Enjoy the mix ✌️

Robsoul reaches across the pond once again as LA house purveyor, Mikey V, returns to the label with three brand-new bumpin’ jams on his 'Closer' EP.
Rasping snares, shuffling hats and soulful vocal chops underpin the title track ‘Closer’, before a hollowed out bassline and synth stabs launch the track skywards from its breakdown.
Mikey sends us into 'Freefall’ on the flip with a skippier, lighter touch, but also a wobbling, swollen bassline that hits hard. Final cut 'Stay High’ matches the club-bound bump,  with a full-fire jazz ensemble of cascading keys and dancing sax, working together to deliver some major fancy footwork appeal.

Fledgling London-based producer Malfie returns to Robsoul for a fourth dispatch, adding to his burgeoning discography with another package of funk-heavy, toughed-out, street-influenced House.
The Groove Story EP opens with the cantering, slow and low Odd Flip. A shuffling groove with cut’n’splice aesthetics at its heart, sporting soulful vocal runs and radiant vibes.
The title track comes with bottom-heavy kick drums and pulsing, rolling basslines in a decisively 90’s feel-good tone, while closer Feelin Good does exactly what it says on the tin. Boosting the mood with its finely tuned filters and French Touch bump.

Malfie - Odd Flip

Rising star, Baum makes his debut on Purveyor Underground with an EP that gives a musical ode to the 90s.

After devoting nearly two decades to electronic music, Baum is now enjoying the best days of his professional career as both a DJ and a producer. His love and commitment to music is evident in all his endeavors, particularly when he's playing music in front of a packed dancefloor. As a DJ, Baum's sole objective is to get people moving with his house music, which can range from tech to deep, festive to sober, and classic to sophisticated.

He is playing in several elrow shows, one of the most powerful nightlife brands in the industry, for many years, visiting lots of clubs in Spain, Europe, America and the Middle East as well as major events like the Monegros Desert Festival. As a producer, Baum is multi-faceted, with tracks featured on labels such as Edible, Rawthentic, Circus or Issues among others. He also serves as an A&R for elrow music and operates his own label, Baumhaus, which seeks to discover promising new producers and release his own music. All in all, Baum is an avid music lover who lives and breathes electronic music.

This symbol was carved in the floors of various sympathetic churches and homes through the Underground Railroad that helped slaves escape the horrific untruth in their lives to find true freedom and to be recognized as contributing human lives in society.
