The music of the award winning Austrian composer Carl Tertio Druml draws on his divers background in music theory, jazz, pop, theatre music and philosophy. His works have been performed, among others, by groups such as Ensemble Modern (De), Symphonieorchester Vorarlberg (At),  Quartetto Prometeo (It), Quatuor Lontano (Fr), Orchestra for the Earth (Uk) as well as big bands like Nouvelle Cuisine (At) and at festivals such as the Tiroler Festspiele Erl (At) and the Chigiana Festival (It). Carl Tertio Druml studied in Amsterdam (CvA) and Vienna (mdw) composition, jazz arrangement and music theory and holds master's degrees in philosophy (2015) and theatre-, film-, and media studies (2020). He is based in Vienna where he is writing a PhD in musicology at the mdw and also works as an orchestrator, and sings freelance in choirs such as at the Vienna State Opera.
