She is the former co-editor of Selection Sorted TechnoPodcast, has been a guest in many-many radioshows and podcasts, she has played in many clubs and festivals of Hungary (Kontra, wndrlnd, Corvintető, Müszi, Kuplung, R33, Egál, S.U.N festival, Ozora, etc) and also abroad, like Slovakia, Austria, Romania and France. She is currently based in Nijmegen (NL) where she has her own Open Source radio show.

TB-303, feedbacks and modular synths: those are the words that speak volumes about Jaquarius.

Driven by a thirst of experimentation, Jaquarius keeps pushing the limits of his own sound universe in a pure, endless, creative liberty. Coming from a primitive, ecstatic energy drawn from the rave culture, his homeland, his music brings a contrast to the retro-futuristic aura of it, which is connected to sci-fi movies and his acousmatic history.

His live performances as his productions invite us to wander in an electronic universe where synths are space and drum machines are time, we’re exposed to a kaleidoscope of sounds in constant fizzing that awakens all our senses.

From his beginning as a DJ in free parties at the age of 15 to the live performances of today delivered with as much intensity as accuracy, Jaquarius didn’t just follow simple artistic urges. Indeed, after 4 years of electroacoustic studies at the Conservatory of Paris, and thanks to the progressive acquisition of various synths and machines, he remains in constant evolution by always trying to free himself from all kind of technical barrier and test new methods of creation, reflecting his music.

Shaping his acid music outside of beaten tracks in an almost organic symbiosis with his machines, Jaquarius keep dropping as intense as unpredictable releases on Acid Avengers, Lunar Distance, Hypnotik, Zodiak Commune, Kromatones, Ceaseless, Microclimat, Mindcolormusic, No Pizza Rave, Statik Travel or even Narcosis Label, labels whose strong identity match his distinctive authenticity.

Mechatronicast number 27 comes courtesy of Strasbourg's finest: @itako.

Itako has been exploring all corners of electronic music and as a DJ and producer he captures a certain adventurous, all killer-no filler attitude & sound in his productions and DJ sets that make them distinctively him. Playing with both trends and nøn-trends, in his mixes and through the evolution of his releases as well, he serves masterful concoctions of chugging acid, psychedelic industrial, breaks heavy bass music and trippy techno. The quality and range of his output is undeniable seeing his releases on labels as Sonic Groove, Lone Romantic, Reach Another System, Samo and Samet. He is based in Strasbourg where he is a resident at club Karmen Camina, one of European nightlife's hidden gems. The mix he recorded for us is an excerpt of one of these booming nights at Karmen Camina; 1,5 hours of trippy, underground goodness for the heads.
