A bit more about this weeks guest:
It was 16 years ago after finding a mixer in a flea market that the Oldchap adventure begins. He Juggled between trip hop and underground techno music and then, more than a thousand vinyls and cells later, it is now his tracks that are available to buy in the wax.
Already available a vinyl only track on Smokecloud records alongside Osmose and Funk District, and in the coming weeks a track on the next Masterworks compilation with the boss Dr Packer Hotmood and the Funk District again. On the Digital side there are two upcoming EP's; one on Sundries and the other at Masterworks.
In a spirit more house, two tracks will also be coming in collaboration with NicolA one on Sundries and one for QCK records.

Oldchap will always deliver these eclectic and energetic sets that have delighted the dancers and these could be heard this summer at Les Badauds bar in Versailles or at private parties.

A constant synergy exists between Jayda G and the dancefloors she commands. Her back catalogue is no different. Her previous EPs on Freakout Cult and 1080p carried a collective warmth about them, and her most recent Sacred Spaces EP lifts this energy to a new level. As the first release via her own label JMG Recordings, the EP helps listeners traverse in what feels like a deeply personal and spiritual space of worship for house music, with two tracks bearing vocals from long-time friend Alexa Dash and her brother Sol G. The near future will see Jayda releasing her debut album via Technicolour, a sub-label on Ninja Tune, as well as further releases on JMG recordings. Truancy Volume 222 by Jayda G is here to make you feel good, with an array of disco from all over the world from India to Brazil, as well as some music from Jayda herself and contemporaries. We caught up with Jayda discuss her past year, staying grounded, live shows, her work to come and much more.

Joining in with the upcoming festivities, Black Light Disco is proud to serve up a plump, roast disco joint (with all the trimmings) from our own BLD resident, Goz!

Hailing from Scotland, Goz has had a huge influence on the international disco scene. As host of 'Spin City', a show which airs on New York's 'MyHouse Radio FM', (the station was recently awarded Number 1 House Station and blog in the world)he has showcased many of the world's leading DJs and producers of disco and house whilst also treating listeners to his own considerable talents as an accomplished DJ and collector of fine music.

Goz started DJ'ing in the early 1990s and it wasn't long before he was completely immersed in learning how to beat match and the technicalities of making a mix sound good. Although he took an extended break from DJ'ing in the 'noughties', he never lost the love for quality music and was always still on the hunt for new tunes and mixes from his favourtie Dj's. Returning to his passion, Goz wasted little time in getting back into the groove. Although Goz admits to his musical tastes changing quite a bit over the years, his love of disco, soul, funk and hip hop has always been strong. Goz is a huge promoter of new music and supporter of new talent (which is probably why there isn't a promo list he isn't on!) 

In the last few years Goz has been part of another influential radio show, House Theory which has carved out a huge following due to its knack of landing both established and upcoming talent for guest mixes. 

In the summer of 2019 we were delighted to welcome Goz aboard the Black Light Disco adventure, and it's fair to say he's a firm favourite of this parish! His sets are always constructed with utmost care and attention to detail, taking the listener on a seamless, melodic journey. This set definitely fits that bill, so sit back with your favourite festive tipple and enjoy!
