A true product and herald of Rotterdam as a city and sound, MORD head exec Bas Mooy has been keeping the local sound alive and relevant for over the past two decades with an ever inspirational devotion to duty. First in co-helming Audio Assault with Jeroen Liebregts, then pushing some serious skull-crushing quality wares via the pipes of Planet Rhythm, Perc Trax and Mote-Evolver, and ultimately in making MORD the platform of choice for some of the most stellar industrial and visionary techno around. Both as an artist and label owner, Mooy’s vision has proven proactively future-facing but anchored in the day, high-octane yet throbbing with the nervy impulse of genius battling its way ahead of the curve. Gracing us with a three-hour barrage fire of galloping steel and iron blends, Mooy hands us a most spitting and effective snapshot of his current musical whereabouts. Rugged yet blazing with class, the present incursion is a feast for all true lovers of the thick-muscled, mechanistic trademark sound that’s made Mooy the highly reliable and rightfully authoritative voice he is to this day.

Christmas has come early. Out with a bang, with arguably one of the best projects we ever put our
hands on. Märked presents a 16-tracker album with some of underground techno’s most interesting
and promising talents in current times. In this compilation you find a mix of artists who are more on
the surface and some who are less, but all evenly contributing to an amazing program of diversity.
Handed in alphabetical order: new to the label is Amstra who starts off with a majestic synth sound
and big kick-basses. Second in: Brecc doing what he does best by leading the track with distortion-
loaded kicks and impactful rave synths. In CYNKT’s track you hear a contagious voice on the rhythm
of the synth, beautifully packaged with piano’s and a pad. Both power and melancholy in Exilles’
Modul B14 with crispy doomsday synth stabs powered by delays for depth.

[BIO EN]:
Inspired by the sounds emerging from Wrocław's cellars, MIKO started her adventure with electronic music a few years ago. The musical taste of the young artist currently living in Warsaw has been shaped by the now defunct club Das Lokal and Berlin, to which she always eagerly returns and draws new inspirations, including releases from labels such as: Voxnox Records, Clergy, Code is Law, Molekul or ARTS. So far, she has had the opportunity to present her skills during performances in the best clubs in Poland, such as: Transformator, Sfinks700, Luzztro, Drugi Dom, Schron or Cialo. MIKO in his music is constantly evolving and tries to combine whole techno era in it, drawing stimuli from futuristic and hypnotic sound, while mixing them with a modern techno wave. Thanks to the constant willingness to discover and move her borders and imaginations, her sets played live are a mixture of deep emotions that strongly affect those present on the dance floor.
