Originally known as Dr. Cyanide, he evolved into his current alias in 2019, reflecting a darker, more refined sonic identity. With releases on top-tier labels like Warm Up Recordings, Mord, and Semantica, his music blends hypnotic rhythms with raw, industrial textures. As head of Hardtools Records, PWCCA continues to push boundaries, both in the studio and behind the decks.

✈ To celebrate this new episode, we are proud and delighted to welcome DJ, producer & MindTrip  label boss : PFIRTER.

For the past twenty years, Argentinian-born, Barcelona-based artist Juan Pablo Pfirter has been a driving force behind a sound that's alternately steely, dark, and uplifting, remaining true to the founding principles of techno while infusing it with his avant-garde touch.

Since his early days, whether through DJing, producing, or as a label owner, Pfirter has demonstrated his talent with focus and style. He's left his mark on esteemed labels like CLR, Figure, Mord, and Stroboscopic Artefacts with select singles, while headlining renowned electronic music venues and events such as Berghain, Tresor, Concrete, Awakenings, and Time Warp. Since his first European tour in 2005, Juan Pablo has tirelessly shaped one of the most distinctive sounds in contemporary electronic music, blending stadium-sized kicks with textured organic elements and hypnotic sub-bass motifs that remain captivating after countless listens. 

In 2006, Pfirter launched his own imprint, MindTrip, which has since become a prominent fixture in the techno landscape. The label serves not only as a platform for his own productions but also for those of his close friends and collaborators, including luminaries such as Flug, Kashpitzky, Nørbak, Stanislav Tolkachev, Dold, and more. Additionally, MindTrip has thrived through its monthly podcast series, featuring acclaimed artists like Angel Molina, Setaoc Mass, and Amotik, each presenting an hour of music that embodies the ethos of the label. 

Having released over 50 club-oriented records, Pfirter ventured into the realm of albums with 2019's "The Empty Space," offering a panoramic view of the subtle intricacies and emotional depth of his craft. His sophomore album, "Altered States," further explores the nuances and expressive possibilities within techno, balancing club-focused realities with introspective, psychoactive elements deeply rooted in the genre's tradition. 

Continuing to bridge the gap between the visceral and the cerebral, Pfirter consistently delivers compelling works that resonate long after the last strobe light fades. While his singles dominate specialist charts, the depth of his compositions lingers in the minds of listeners long after the club doors close. In Pfirter's hands, darkness becomes oddly comforting, inviting listeners into his unique sonic universe.

In our 83th series, we present Kamen, a French artist based in Nantes. Co-founder of OSS records, GRS Techno and Kinetic Collective, he is also known for his role in the Crime Partners duo. Crafting hypnotic and groovy techno with ambient and industrial touches, Kamen has left his mark on labels such as Skryptom Records, PRTL WRX and Inphase. Favouring the aesthetics of a dreamy hypnotic persuasion, the main focus of Jin How’s work lies in its captivatingly psychedelic, yet minimal and often atonal, range of colours, textures, and melodies, to impress upon the senses far beyond that of its ordinary perceptions. Never one to be stuck in any sort of a routine, his creative vision often requires deep thinking that surpasses the confines of the norm, all while experimenting with form and methodology, in his own metaphorical perspective or genius, that allows him to create something that transcends the ordinary, developing a very personal style, and greatly enjoying the challenging of the status quo with his experiments in design and technology. not just a mere imitation, his unique and innovative processes bestow upon his art its true purpose and meaning. Currently, he goes by the 3 monikers: molwax (film & video), neon (DJ), and w0rm (producer).

PWCCA is a veteran DJ and producer from Madrid, Spain. Active in the electronic music scene since 1995, he first explored progressive and house sounds before embracing the underground techno movement. Influenced by legends like James Ruskin, Regis, and Surgeon, PWCCA developed a signature style that fuses hard-hitting beats with expressive, meticulously layered melodies.

Over the years, his productions have appeared on respected labels such as Warm Up Recordings, Mord, Semantica, and his own Hardtools and Inducted Waves imprints. 

PWCCA’s music is regularly supported by top artists including Oscar Mulero, Surgeon, and Richie Hawtin, and his tracks are celebrated for their intensity, complexity, and emotional depth. Dino Sabatini [ Outis / Prologue ] Italy

Dino Sabatini is recognized as the inciter of Italian techno scene and main character of labels such as: Elettronica Romana – Prologue – Strooscopic Artefacts – Sonic Groove -
Also known as part of the duo Modern Heads, 2006/2007 he released may sussessful Eps: “Paper Toys ”, “Ordinary Madness” and “Gliding ” are just a few pearls of a style which is now one the most followed and have been inspiring many artists from the international techno scene. His solo productions mark the birth of a new techno concept that leaves no room for labels or definitions. The continual search for new soundscapes and    complex rhythms followed by hypnotic sequences and harmonic twists make Dino Sabatini unique in his way of making techno.
The double EP “Daughter of Phorcys” on Prologue spread strong signal immediately catched by the best techno clubs and dj’s worldwide. Coming to now days Dino Sabatini’ last a constant seek for new musical boundaries led him to create his own label Outis in order to express other artistic tensions and needs. Outis’ first release “Modulated Waves EP”  collecting complete consensus among the international techno scene. 
During Autumn 2012 and after a whole year of research “Shaman’s Path”, his first concept album, has come to life on the label he was kicking off,  Prologue.
“Shaman’s Path” could be considered in every aspect a work that goes beyond the classical canons of  techno and is also the confirmation of an artist who has no boundaries.
