Funk and Blues guitarist, audio engineer, and radio host jiving in NYC with roots from Miami

Monotron (also known as KastjesFreak) is experimenting with sounds for the future of our existence.

Monotron always had a big passion for music, being influenced by his older cousin, sending him old hiphop and house tapes.
From 1990 onwards Monotron started collecting vinyl and playing tunes on small parties.
His main obsession was about the harder music styles of the early nineties, mainly hardcore/gabber, rave, breakbeat and acid.
In 1994 he started producing hardcore and breakbeat with Fasttracker. A few years later his obsession with synths started.
From 1999 onwards he started DJing on the next level. In the south of the Netherlands he was a resident DJ on Groovability DnB parties
and he started his own soundsystem "Zeeuws Meisje", giving illegal parties on various locations.

At his moment he produces various kinds of music, ranging from Acid to Triphop, from DnB to Ambient, depending on his mood.
His favorite producers and Dj's are: Aphex Twin, Squarepusher, Mr Oizo, Technical Itch, Noisia, Evol Intent, Dj Eye-D and Dj Hidden,
Portishead, Massive Attack, Future sounds of London, the Orb, Plaid, the Black Dog and many others.

I try to domesticate electrons and make them move mostly kevlar membranes to shake eardrums in a variety of ways.
