Fans worldwide have come to love L7′s heavy, riff-oriented guitar grind. L7′s albums have been released on legendary U.S. labels Epitaph, Sub Pop, Slash/Reprise, as well as their own label, Wax Tadpole. Since their recording career began in 1987, L7 have spawned underground and mainstream hits, such as: Shove, Pretend We’re Dead, Shit List, Andres, and Drama. Their music has also appeared on countless soundtracks, including “Natural Born Killers.”

L7 have toured all over the world, numerous times, in clubs, concert halls, and festivals, some of which were: Offshore (Australia), Go Bang (Germany), Lollapalooza (U.S.), Hollywood Rock (Brazil), and Reading (U.K.). In addition to appearing on television shows internationally, including David Letterman, L7 starred in John Water’s movie, “Serial Mom”, and are the subject of a rockumentary by former Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic, entitled “The Beauty Process.”

The L.A. based band, formed in 1985, consisting of Donita Sparks, guitar and vocals, Suzi Gardner, guitar and vocals, Dee Plakas, drums, and at various times, Jennifer Finch, Gail Greenwood, and Janis Tanaka on bass, have also made time to play many benefits for organizations like Rock For Choice (which they formed in1991), Greenpeace, and Act Up L.A., to name but a few.

CALIFAS MUSIC: In Spain, the expression "Ida y Vuelta" is used to describe certain styles within Flamenco that made a "round-trip" from Spain to Latin America, mixing with music from the African and Indigenous populations. With this idea of music traveling and music as creative resistance, LoCura takes the trip back again mixing it up with their own Califas Flamenkito, Reggae,  Cumbia & Ska styles. Moved by the music that crosses borders and takes root in different lands, LoCura draws from this creative 'rebelde' spirit to cultivate the cures passed on from our ancestors.

***ESPAÑOL: Siguiendo la corriente de la 'Ida y Vuelta' que define tanto el movimiento en el Flamenco como en la musica Latina, LoCura combina la Rumba Flamenca con el Mestizaje Musical de la Bahia de San Francisco pa' dar vida a su propio "Califas Flamenkito"- un Son-Rumba-Reggae que baila Cumbia entre el Hip-Hop expresando un Folklor Global Callejera. LoCura ha girado la extensa escena musical del 'West Coast' de los Estados Unidos incluyendo Canada y Mexico, tocando en todos los festivales con artistas como Bomba Estereo,Ojos de Brujo, La Cuneta Son Machin, Sergio Mendes, Kinky, Nortec Collective, Zap Mama, Bunny Wailer, y Les Nubians entre otros grandes artistas. Tambien en su ciudad de origen, San Francisco, han logrado llenar por completo locales como el Independent y el Great American Music Hall (con capacidades de 600 personas cada uno), siendo una de las bandas emergentes mas excitosas del area de la Bahia.
