Uksimo is inspired by the more rhythmic side of techno. his music is is created by the use of a modular synthesizer, which allow him to create unique sounds and textures by patching together different modules. He also uses multiple drumcomputers to create the rhythmic elements. In 2023, Uksimo self-released his debut single, 'Wire / Trigger', followed by the 'Binary EP' six months later.

For this month’s show, @djwiggles invites Rennes based module founder @nessiel onto the show. 

With a love of intricate rhythms and hypnotic drum patterns, Nessiel took over the first hour of the show with some wet and foggy broken techy gems, with Dj wiggles stepping up in the second.

AWood curates electrifying sets spanning techno, trance, house and breaks. They have showcased their music at festivals such as Shambhala and Re-Union, and have shared the stage with renowned house and techno artists across Canada. AWood has signed and self-released multiple EPs and singles over the past year while remaining committed to nurturing the local scene and volunteer teaching in their home studio in Vancouver BC. They are inspired by all of the moments they have shared on the dance floor throughout their life, especially under the stars in the Pacific Northwest.

Chet Rubbs is a Munich-based DJ and the curator of the podcast & event series "Hotstuff". The passionate record collector has a deep fascination for the club sound that characterized the 90s. In his sets, he crosses the genre boundaries of house music in all directions, be it tribal progressive house or uplifting trance elements. With his vinyl selection, he always tries to get the maximum energy out of the dancefloor and bring the light-heartedness of the 90s back into the club nights of our time.

Monty Luke. Very excited to have such an incredible producer, versatile DJ and label founder of Black Catalogue to spin for Spinning Grounds. Monty’s journey has taken him from Los Angeles to San Francisco to Detroit and then Berlin - recording new music, for labels like Hypercolour, Rekids, Planet-E, Classic, KMS, Cadenza, Blood of Thrones, 2MR and sharing his selections with crowds whereas he seldomly just sticks to only one genre. The music itself and feeling of it seem to be the red line and not the genre label of it - interweaving house, dub, dark disco, deep techno…. “I’m still in love with the idea of sharing music with people and the exchange of energy and ideas it can bring about.”

'Spinning Grounds' by @katharina-davids is all about opening grounds for newcomers to spin their music - to explore all facetes around genres from house, Detroit, dub techno to break beat.
