Augustine is an Italian singer-songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist, creating Dream Pop tinged Post Wave and Dark Folk.
The pseudonym is taken from the name of the hysterical female protagonist from Georges Didi-Huberman’s essay, Invention of Hysteria, since the paradoxical condition of hysteria, “symptom of being a woman”, is assumed by the composer as paradigm of the artist’s work, especially when coupled with a complex feminine sensitivity, expressed as a “feat and drama of depth” (Didi-Huberman).
Augustine released her debut album in 2010, One Thin Line. This was followed by various collaborations with electronic artists, on projects such as Alas Laika and Other Us. 
In 2018, Grief and Desire, conceived as a music autobiographical novel, was released and well received by critics. 
In 2019 Augustine, directed by the artist Francesco Biccheri, won an award, taking second place as “best self-produced Italian Video Clip” at Video Clip Italia Contest in Milan.
In 2021 Proserpine is released, starting a new collaboration with the label I Dischi del Minollo.
