Yakøv is a Denver based multifaceted musician. Born in 96' in Ulan-Ude, Russia, starting off with classical piano training and inspirations found growing up in Texas amongst a mix of chopped and screwed, R&B, southern rap and the broader realms of hip-hop. As a early teenager, he delved into the world of freestyling, rapping and beat making on a bootleg copy of FruityLoops 8.

Yakøv reemerged during lockdown, learning CDJs and reigniting his passion for music production. Seamlessly weaving influences from a myriad of genres – hip-hop, DNB, phonk, UKG, breaks, IDM, grime, R&B, downtempo, halftime, leftfield, and anything rachet. Yakøv is gaining momentum as a genre-fluid/DNB DJ and producer with a unique sonic palette.

Hamdi’s signature blend of Dubstep, UKG and Grime has earned him support from some of the biggest artists in the world, including Skrillex, Knife Party, Fred Again.., Zeds Dead and Porter Robinson. Closer to home, Hamdi has consistently received support from the UK underground scene’s most prestigious acts, including DJ EZ, Skream, Sherelle and Mala. 

His track Skanka has taken the world by storm and was arguably one of the biggest Dubstep tracks of 2022, with DJ Mag writing '‘Skanka’ has already proven its staying power and firmly cemented its place as a modern classic.' Hamdi has also become known for his energetic DJ sets that have already taken him to India, Australia and the United States. As 3000 Blog wrote, ‘there really aren’t many who are keeping pace with Hamdi, as he tends to fly from deck to deck, pulling the audience from left to right in a seriously thrilled multi-genre ride.’ With releases on labels such as Bassrush, Deadbeats, and Vision Recordings already under his belt, it's safe to say the future is bright for Hamdi.
