Our narrator slowly dips into a bit of a mental state and basically shuts down. Much like the traffic that isn't moving at all.

Transfixed Traffic

Hey music friends, this is my very first open collaboration. I've been meaning to to do one for a little while now but was waiting for a track to come along that has enough open space for additions but that can also kind of stand on it's own. I thought this one fit the bill. It's a minimal beat that I created using the Volca Drum with just a few melodic lines produced in Korg Gadget. One of the lines is accentuated with the Minilogue. I hope a few of you will be inspired to try working with it!

Feel free to use the elements in anyway you would like--  just the drums, just the melodies, or any combination. According to the legendary story of her life and suffering, Solina, daughter of noble pagan parents, learned about Christianity in her youth and vowed virginity. Because her parents wanted to marry her off, she fled to Chartres, where she lived in a monastic house dedicated to Mary. During the persecution of Christians under Emperor Diocletian, she was brought before his bench under the prefect Quirinus, confessed to be a Christian, resisted flattery and threats, and was thrown into prison, then sentenced to death and beheaded.

Christians buried Solina on the site of what later became the Abbey of Saint-Père-en-Vallée in Chartres. Many miracles occurred at her tomb through her intercession. Later her bones were placed in a gilded shrine.

TRANSCEND FROM THE TRASH .. SITAR

This track was developed based off a poem written by the same name and the emotiveness evoked from within it. In the semblance of life, there are crackles "spackling" the loveliness of the everyday. 

When we experience things in life, it is always wise to remember all of whom we are, deep within us. When we do this, the easier it is to keep everything else in an appropriate perspective... remembering everyone and everything are simply... energy. We are merely the vessels in which energy is processing through each life cycle in the physical three dimensional world. 

We can get caught up in the man made constructs, verbiage, judgments, etc. and permit them to disrupt the flow of our energy... or we can allow the energy to flow to us, through us, and then... beyond us. We can choose to absorb it, ask it to be returned to the sender, or (as we've chosen to begin as our own practice...) ask it to simply be returned to the earth for transmutation into the growth medium for something lovely, BEautifying, and helpful to the earth and for the potentiality of enrichment for all. We hope you enjoy this piece as much as we enjoyed creating it.
