Qdup's latest disco fueled single 'Electric Tonight' gets re-imagined in 3 different styles by top notch artists. Rory Hoy, Turnstyle and Holmes Ives each put their own touch on the single and give us 3 new remixes that will be lighting up dancefloors and shaking butts world wide.

First up and making his Fort Knox Recordings debut is UK's own Rory Hoy. Rory has 5 critically acclaimed albums under his belt on Freddy Fresh's Howlin' Records label and numerous singles, EPs, remixes and collaborations on various labels worldwide. And he literally wrote the book on Big Beat with his 2018 publication 'The Little Big Beat Book' which explores one of our favorite 90's genres. Rory delivers a super vibey mid-tempo breaks remix that's sure to keep the heads nodding and bodies' moving. Groovy chords and a classic sounding breakbeat lead the way and a heavy bassline drop elevates the energy to flex any soundsystem. 

Up next is Turnstyle, a new moniker for the artist formerly known as Bobby C Sound TV, who remixed Fort Knox Five and many more. His remix of Electric Tonight takes us on a journey that feels like neon drenched 80's Synth Wave with modern heavy-hitting dancefloor production sensibility. Ominous arpeggiated synth lines and a pulsating bassline and beat drive the vibe of the track playing off the vibe of Qdup's original mix while pushing the tempo and energy up. This one makes us feel like getting in a Delorian and gunning it to 88mph to go back in time!

Rounding out the remixes is long time collaborator and Fort Knox Recordings mastering engineer, Holmes Ives. Over the years Ives has established himself as one of D.C.'s premiere electronic music producers with over 50 singles and 11 albums spread over various label including Yoshitoshi, Bedrock, Caffeine, Six Degrees, Shinichi and more. Holmes puts his stamp on Electric Tonight with a groover of a remix. complete with a 4-to-the-floor beat, a tight bassline and relentless rhythm lay the foundation as vocal chops weave through the beat to great musical effect. This remix is definitely Electric!

Frankee’s back with his second Cuttin’ It Fine EP and this one’s just as scorching as his last. Bringing you a bundle of different vibes to set dancefloors a light over the upcoming party period.

Frankee teams up with DJ Alias on All Nite bringing some serious dancefloor-filling vibes. This has been a big hit in Roast Beatz Twitch streams and festival sets, setting fire to tents and screens whenever it’s dropped.

Now we’ve got a new collaboration for Frankee from one of CiF’s regular party rockers. Cue Everyman as he steps up to “Shake That Thing” bringing some serious Hip Hop flavours to the EP.

“Sweet Nightmares” sees Frankee taking a stab at a Eurhythmics banger. He works his magic making a familiar sample sound fresh, unique, and ready for heads to nod to.

Another kiwi collab which consists of Kurnel MC. Their track “Hit the Deck” has all the energy you’ve come to expect from the funky antipodean. With Frankee on the boards, it’s got everything in place to get the club jumping.

Los Angeles based producer Nick Alvarado and vocalist EVeryman have teamed to form Little Giants, who aim to make proper hip-hop music for your mind, body and soul. Pairing inspired, thought-provoking lyrics set over crisp, funky beats, the sounds of Little Giants harken back to the golden era of hip-hop. This release commemorates the memory of Nick 'Pumpkin' Alvarado, who touched thousands of people with his signature music productions and acclaimed DJ sets at top music festivals and clubs across the US and abroad. He tragically passed away on March 25th 2016, but his generous spirit and magical music will continue to live on. 

To honor his memory, Nick's best friend and Little Giants production partner, Evan 'Everyman' Shafran, started The Little Giant Acorn Foundation for The Arts, a non-profit organization that helps children get started in music or the performing arts who otherwise could not afford to do so. Nick absolutely loved to share his passion for music and performance art with the next generation and nothing gave him more joy. 

By purchasing this LITTLE GIANTS album you are helping to ensure that Nick's spirit continues to shine while ensuring that the next generations of 'little acorns' have the means to pursue their creative passions. It was always a dream of Nick's to have a record label of his own and to help the youth. Jason Brown is Qdup, and has been making dance floors groove and butts move worldwide for over a decade. Now residing in Los Angeles, CA the Wasington DC area native brings DC Funk vibes along with West Coast Festival Sensibility to the dance floor. Qdup has had a steady string of acclaimed original releases with Washington, DC’s Fort Knox Recordings since 2013. His tunes have consistently made it into top 20 charts in the Glitch Hop, Funk and Breaks Genres on Beatport and Juno Download. From earning a nomination for a Washington Area Music Award for Hop Hop Recording of the year in 2013, to garnering Mixag’s “Breaks tune of the Month in October 2014, to coverage on some of the web’s hottest taste making blogs like Magnetic Mag, Surviving the Golden Age, Life Support Machine, Dance MusicNW and EDM Sauce; Qdup’s projects have consistently been praised by funky dance music aficionados world wide. Their touring included a festival run with Canadian favorite’s Shambhala (Salmo, Canada) & BassCoast (Merrit, Canada) and adding events like Sonic Bloom (CO), Northern Nights (CA, USA) and Burning Man (NV, USA). 
When not on tour, Qdup has played regularly at DC hot spots like Eighteenth Street Lounge, U-Street Music hall and Tropicalia where he along with Fort Knox Five have held their residency “Sao Funky” for 4 years. Qdup has also made the official promotional mix tapes for The DC Funk Parade 3 years running, further solidifying himself as one of DC’s most sought after party rockers. Since relocated to Los Angeles, Qdup has continued this trend frequently playing at some of LA’s best underground warehouse and festival venues.
