It’s our biggest pleasure to bring you podcast #159 from Simone Bauer aka Simone Giovanetti (Sure Thing, Annulled, Accent Records, Melantónia, et al).

For us, this mix is the ideal sign-off as the festival season winds down - transporting us to a dance floor among the trees. It's late afternoon, there’s a cool breeze against our skin, our bodies are locked in a delicate embrace with the gentle grooves, brushing up against fellow music lovers as the sun slowly dips in the sky, frequencies permeating, speaking to us in ways our rational minds can't comprehend, our bodies responding accordingly. We’re feeling that priceless sense of freedom and connection. Know what we mean? ;)

Simone's mix for On the 5th Day is the perfect ride to lose yourself in (in a good way!) - pacy and rhythmic, packed with some special twists and turns highlighting his exquisite track selection and slick, seamless mixing abilities. An outstanding journey intricately woven together, with some beautiful goosebump inducing moments for good measure.

On the 5th Day Podcast #159 - Simone Bauer

The UK based artist Faery (@freyacaldwell) is the third one to record a wonderful mix for our Herbarium mix series.
She worked with a lot of watery psychedelic textures forming an intriguing hypnotic vibe. Proper grooves support the whole captivating feeling of this episode.
We chose the plant 'Cyclamen Hederifolium' - a flower which blooms around autumn. The petals of this plant have wave-like shapes that strongly remind us of the watery atmosphere in Faery's journey. It grows best at shaded places where the strong colours of the blossoms glow even stronger. This links the deep atmosphere in combination with those subtle but well crafted sound design details of this mix to the flower in a beautiful way.

Dycide is a Deep-Techno and Drum and Bass producer/DJ based in Munich, Germany. He produces electronic music, which is best described as intricate rhythms combining various percussive textures while keeping a subtle atmosphere. This creates a very minimalistic sound without losing the importance of storytelling. While his other passion, the art of programming, lets him experiment with generative art, both in visual and auditory work. In 2018 Dycide co-founded the audiovisual label IO together with his close friends MTRL & Polygonia. The label already counts many successful releases and has gained a deep following over the years.
