This 60-second audio PSA promotes the Valowatch Club at Rutgers University, a student organization in the Rutgers Esports community for fans of Valorant and Overwatch. Valowatch welcomes players of all ranks and experience levels and creates a safe, inclusive space to play games, watch esports, and meet new friends. The club hosts 10-man scrims, watch parties, and regular meetings at the Rutgers Esports Center.
This PSA was created by Rutgers students for a course project: Max Hausser, Tianyang Luo, Qiwei Chen, Boning Zhang, Aniket Iyer, and Kyler Day. Our goal is to reach Rutgers students who enjoy gaming or are curious about the Valorant and Overwatch esports scenes and invite them to join our community.

Join Valowatch – Rutgers Valorant and Overwatch Club

This episode of “Finding Your Squad at Valowatch” is produced with the Valowatch Club at Rutgers University, a student organization within the Rutgers Esports community that focuses on Valorant and Overwatch.

In this 8 minute podcast, host Nico Chen talks with Max Hausser from Valowatch about what the club is, how it fits into the Rutgers Esports scene, and why it was created as a safe, welcoming space for students who love community gaming. We discuss regular events such as 10-man nights at the Esports Center, club meetings, and watch parties for major Valorant and Overwatch matches.

The episode also includes a one-minute public service announcement (PSA) created with the Valowatch team to promote awareness of the club and invite new members to join. Together, the podcast and PSA aim to reach Rutgers students who enjoy gaming, want to make friends, or are curious about the esports community on campus.
