A veteran DJ of 20+ years Victor Marzana, aka 9x, has developed a unique style that reflects the desires of the fans, himself, and the 'EDM' scene as a whole. Born and raised in Queens, NY , 9x was first inspired musically by 70's Disco, 80's Hip-Hop, New Wave, and Pop. He then developed an interest in Heavy Metal and Industrial, which helped his taste segue into the harder sounds of electronic music. It was in 1993 that he attended his first NASA party where his passion for Jungle/Drum and Bass emerged; a turning point that would change his life forever. Victor's first booking as a Jungle DJ was at " EGG", an event known for showcasing up and coming music. Shortly thereafter he landed a rotating position at Konkrete Jungle and One Love, and later moved on to raves thrown at legendary clubs like Limelight, Octagon, Tunnel, Shelter, Roxy, Robots, as well as raves thrown in many other states.

Victor also expanded his horizons by working at Satellite Records, helping to set up new accounts with distribution companies and pushing the influence of Drum and Bass to other people in other genres. Having experimented with many different types of music, he has been spinning DNB exclusively for the last 16 years, landing many influential roles. 9x has been a resident at Camouflage, NYC's first 21+ Drum and Bass party going strong since 1997. The strong progression of his music has helped him develop a passion for a futuristic party music movement in not only the Drum & Bass scene of NYC, but throughout the entire country.

Automatik NYC, his own production outfit, has become a major representative of the American DnB DJ, elevating him to a new level of infamy. His in depth knowledge of the history of Drum and Bass, as well as the progression of Electronic Music over the years, has made him a valuable ally as well as a formidable force in the landscape of Jungle. He has played with some of the best DJs in the world. His ability and drive to unite the fans, as well as the producers and DJs of Drum and Bass, are rare qualities that have served a great purpose thus far. He was responsible for the Rawkuts Showcase alongside DJ.Seen which united U.K. and American DJs under one roof, as well as the Ghettotech Showcase alongside Dr.Wundt and DJ.Salinger that brought together Detroit Ghettotech DJs and DnB talent from NYC and LA, the first event of its kind at WMC. 

With his love of the music, devotion to the fans, and ability to play a diverse range of music, 9x has moved into the forefront of the US Drum and Bass scene. Drawing inspiration from many sources has helped him develop a strong sense of self which is reflected in his music, along with a passion that is conveyed to anyone who listens to him perform. Pushing the progression of all Drum and Bass has allowed him to remain unique while still having a strong musical appeal. His ability to work the crowd, as well as his love of playing for those who crave the music, is a strong quality that allows him tremendous versatility in any venue, in any city. While staying true to his original influences, Victor Marzana, aka 9x, is still able to bring his passion to the masses and is truly leading the way in bringing American Drum and Bass DJs to the forefront of our scene.

Since it's inception, BIOS Recordings has released quality electronic music from international phenoms such as Helsinki's Contour, Sao Paulo's Drumagick, Chicago's Stunna, and Cardiff's Dan Marshall to name a few. BIOS aims to enrich the full spectrum of dancefloor Drum & Bass with artist albums from Furney and Ed Oberon as well as successive compilations to Breakbeat/Input Output Vol.1.

Ten years later it's time to go back to the heart of this beautiful music, time for a BIOS-Update. But it's not about configuring your system, it's about configuring your breakbeats. Amaning from Germany is the system administrator - his mission is to carefully select strong, quality tunes for his new imprint which is not about him as a producer but good music. The focus is to release good drum'n'bass, no matter where it's coming from or who programmed it.
