Robert Frederik is back on Morris Audio with his 3rd full release called “Labratory EP”! The Welsh artist with his distinctive vision of music and art combines bleeps & clonks with a nod to early releases on Warp, drum machine beats of late 80's Chicago and Detroit, UK deep house from the late 90’s, melancholic film soundtracks and a minimalistic, dusty bedroom production, as suitable on the dance floor as it is for home listening. this one came out a long while back, but just posting it now. It's my contribution to, and the opening track of The Discography Lessons' inaugural compilation, Summer Sizzlers. It's called Sax on the Beach, and it's a rework of Madan by Salif Keita - specifically the Martin Solveig version. It's a track that I love and had wanted to do for ages, and I managed to transform it into a laid back chillout track that even made it into the Longe chart on Traxsource! Bloody pleased with how it came out too.
