Years after his last release, spending much time to recreate and improve his creative toolset, Cord is back with a new dose of beats.
His story began in the 2000s with taking part of the breakbeat scene, using his unique sound with granular effects, vocals and bass. Much later his interest was turned towards glitch influenced genres, resulting in an EP in 2005. Then he decided to improve his music process, to achieve a more colorful sound, resulting in the four tracks of Maktub.

Sati (Sanskrit: सती / satī) is derived from the name of the goddess Sati, it is a historical practice. The track utilizes a triplet driven base around a solid bass, fitting in a brooding and dark atmosphere, filled with twisted sounds and a speech describing daily mental practice.

Maktub contains more melodic contents, a fusion of different influences. Between sampled instrumental elements, arps and synth lines create a colorful balance to drive the listener to a cordial place somewhere in the middle east.

Songbeam is a collaboration with UK midtempo producer Tryptich. It combines melancholic atmospheres and textures with driving beats and bass to create an emotive, yet funky journey.

Rainfall transforms a beautifully sad Hungarian folk song into a seven minute long psychedelic glitch-trip. With the use of vocals from Éva Takács folk singer, the track’s ending with the unedited song elements is the perfect closing for the EP.

Merging Croatian traditional music with modern psychedelic chill/dub/glitch, "Horns of Veles" compilation guides us through different centuries and regions of Croatia via sound and ambience. For this unique occasion, local artists who have a way of building pathways throughout webs of time are carefully selected. They expressed that sweet spot of connection between traditional and modern through a visionary re-envisioning of ancient songs, sung just for this compilation.

Veles is a major Slavic god of earth, waters, livestock and the underworld. His attributes are wet, wooly, hairy (bearded), dark and with horns. He is associated with cattle, the harvest, wealth, music, magic, and trickery. He has a role in the carnival customs of Koledari shamans and as protector of travelling musicians. In some wedding ceremonies in northern Croatia, the music would not start playing unless the bridegroom, when making a toast, spilled some of the wine on the ground. The symbolism of this is clear: the musicians will not sing until a toast is made to their patron deity.

I had the privilege of touring NZ this summer festival season and throwing down all manor of shenanigans for the people. 

This is a Bass journey that I played at NZ Spirit Festival south on the Main stage at Midnight. It was an absolute scene and I loved seeing all the bass creatures come out of the shadows to dance with me.

Oh Funk Tunnel. What a time. 
Flashback to 2018, DJin at the Funk Tunnel was the first time I ever performed to a crowd. Tanglewood will always be a landmark on the journey for me. A real reflection of how my music taste has evolved, my skills have improved, plus a sprinkle of dj (and life) existential dread. 
I'm really proud of how this mix went down, filled out the dancefloor and got to see everyone makin gritty bassfaces. A fusion of UKG, 140, Grime and Halftime flavour. 
Thank you too everyone that shared kind words at the festival! Your energy and support keep the passion alive, and I can't wait for the next one!
