It’s through Rich’s unique designs and creations that we learn the true meaning of emotional electronic music - giving back to the traditional clarity of the genres of House and Techno by delicately pushing the long-established boundaries. A stimulating and driving persona and output that is recognised as one of Australia’s top electronic music exports.

Rich’s rise in popularity is partly due to the consistency of his monthly “Resolutions” podcast, which has regularly topped the weekly charts on friskyRadio.com

Since 2007, Rich’s contribution to his local electronic dance music community has been positively enormous. Amongst regular spots at top festival institutions such as Stereosonic, Future Music Festival (Cocoon Heroes), Manifest and Elements, Rich Curtis ran the self-created underground club night “Ulterior,” which debuted many international acts in Brisbane and Gold Coast nightclubs up until 2014 where he decided the studio deserved his full attention ongoing.

Rich continues to expand onto the global dance music scene, including annual tours of Latin America, where he feels most at home with his sound.

Rich provides 3 different yet amazing tracks showing his true diversity.

Purveyor of the finest underground dance goods, Quaint Records builds on a compilation series of the very highest order. The third in a much-anticipated annual offering continues the story with a standout offering keeping Quaint at the vanguard of the compilation format.

Taking some of the finest tracks across a rich and fertile music history, “Three” provides a new narrative with ten carefully curated tracks that showcase some of the very finest talents in a 24-carat case. With a track list that reads like a “Who’s Who” of modern dance music producers, the rich melodic layers of Beat Syndrome filter into sonic range as Lonya & Maydan’s driving bass groove hits the ground running. Roland Klinkenberg supplies a moment of magic with his arpeggio-rich reworking of Dibby Dougherty and David Young’s “Juliet is Dead”, followed by Andre Absolut’s upbeat, club friendly remix of Ewan Rill. 

Production partnerships from the gods find Blue Amazon and Mike Hiratzka alongside the iconic names and innovative techniques of Barry Jamieson and Charlie May while Kintar showcases his colourful talents through “Le Monde Est Gris”. Evren Ulusoy and Oliver Schories provide a rich and varied aural palette for Rodskeez and Dale Middleton to weave a subtle and magical touch with their interpretations before James Teej finds his musical soul in Madloch & Matias Vila. A fitting finale, Israel’s hotbed of talent sees the growing tour de force of Khen close with a typically dynamic remix of Logiztik Sounds & David Montenegro’s evergreen, “Halo Moon”.

Ten fits neatly into “Three” where sonic mastery and music narrative combine to create a new masterpiece.

Music imprints come and go in today's volume heavy market and ultimately it's the few that stand for quality and consistency which stand the test of time. With its constitution and unique essence, newly formed Quaint Records is one such imprint. Putting its focus on the high-end EP and compilation market this global outlet will be a new source for cutting edge electronic music. With a selective crew hand picking tracks for each edition it's sure it be an intriguing journey on each and every release. The labels first offering aptly titled ‘One’ finds Quaint Records going into the depths of progressive techno with a selection of tracks from some of today's brightest stars. It's a collection that's sure to hold many great memories for a wide range of electronic music fans.
