In Focus with us this time is QUANTALOOP presenting their Studio Live Sessions - Ozora 2024 Mix. Quantaloop is the collaboration of two minds, Pasquale De Luca and Étienne Sarrazin. Together they explore the concept of storytelling through the cyclic progression of psychedelic techno. Their mission is to bring the auditor into a different world staged by sensations of physical quantum traveling. Elusive and twisted motives meet hypnotic ornamentation all surrounded by time morphing atmospheres. All of this to pull the listener into their quantic orbit. About their set, Quantaloop adds: "This set marks the continuation of our studio live set series where we deconstruct released and new unreleased tracks and play them live with a whole bunch of loops and effects! Recorded in our studio it allows us to add a bit depth than what we usually do live. This live set is the culmination of years of tweaking that has lead to this unique way to play our tracks! Quantaloop, the innovative project of Etienne Sarrazin and Pasquale De Luca, has become a pioneering force in the psychedelic music scene with their distinctive brand of twisted techno. Leveraging their extensive knowledge of electronic music, they expertly blend diverse genres while maintaining a strong psychedelic core. Their sound is instantly recognizable for its technical prowess and ever-evolving dance floor grooves.

This unique fusion of genres and narrative-driven music has earned them releases on prestigious labels and performances at major festivals worldwide. They've collaborated with top psytech labels like Zenon Records, Alpaka Muzik, Techgnosis Records, and Soupherb Records. In 2023, they performed in nearly every major techno city globally.

Quantaloop's journey began in 2016 when, after completing their studies in electronic music production, they united to create the music they envisioned for dancefloors. By 2018, their early hits like "Windmill Man" and "Expanding Elephants" were gaining traction among DJs worldwide, and their growth has been unstoppable ever since. Despite early successes, Quantaloop remains dedicated to evolving their sound, ensuring each track is a unique exploration of electronic music's possibilities.

Canadian duo Into The Pale Abyss is back with the 3rd chapter of their dark futuristic tale, titled “Cybergenesis”. Combining elements of horror with cyberpunk their minimalistic yet hypnotic rhythms set the mood right from opening seconds of “Cybergenesis” with “The Chosen” (feat. Ambivalenz). A mood which continues throughout the whole EP with the duo blending together influences from Electro to Techno and Electronica to Synthwave, creating a perfect soundtrack for the listeners who are in turn invited to give birth to their own dystopian tale. Welcome to the future.

With the original track '1984', Nozem delivers on all fronts with his high energy, dance floor focused style of psychedelia-infused techno-trance crossover. Russian progressive house powerhouse Ewan Rill has been on top of his game for many years and keeps on shooting out one quality production after another. This time he has teamed up with fellow Saint Petersburg resident K Loveski to present 'Broh Canville', an incredibly strong 3 track EP.

Each track on this EP simply oozes quality and you can feel it's created by veteran producers who know their way around the studio, and have perfected the craft even. Warm, fat, playful, funky and twisted, all these words describe 'Broh Canville EP'. Enjoy!

An artist who continues to impress with a growing portfolio of high-calibre music, Hot TuneiK returns to Proton Music with the striking twin-track "Circles of You". Remixes come courtesy of Hungarian and Argentinean stars.

DJ, producer, promoter and record label owner, Hot TuneiK has found himself at the forefront of Mexico's underground dance scene. Unforgettable Hookah showcase events and a unique brand of deep and progressive house have seen regular appearances for the likes of Balkan Connection, Sound Avenue and Particles amount to almost 300 production credits. An April 2018 EP for Proton Music shone a spotlight on the Hot TuneiK name before remixes from Lanvary and Matter continued the "Revival". Now returning, the flowing melodic lines of "Circles of You" meander enticingly before a deep beat and rich percussion filter into range. Building majestically, a simple grooved arpeggio provides another rhythmic anchor before extending in range into the third movement. White-noise washes add to the overall character in an elegant work. Partner track, "Melancolia", opens with a deep and flowing rhythm that hypnotises with its muted melodic underpinning. Weaving a magical spell, cadenced arpeggios and freeform string and key motifs are sprinkled liberally across the upper frequencies to mesmerising effect before joining forces with the sumptuous rhythm in the second half.

Hungarian duo Peter Makto & Gregory S are no strangers to success. Founders of the Truesounds Music label and DJ agency, their hard work has seen them become high-profile names at home. Simultaneously, a production career has found the duo on the catalogues of some of the finest labels that include Bondage Music, King Street Sounds and Go Deeva. September 2018's "Purple Rain" saw a full debut on Proton Music with a glorious twin-track offering and a remix of Michael A's "My Style" earlier in the year is now followed by a hypnotic reworking of Hot TuneiK. Using the arpeggio sequences found in "Circles of You" to impressive effect, Peter Makto & Gregory S have created a mesmerising remix that retains dancefloor character with chest-thumping kick and ticking percussive flavour. The coruscating patterns of Hot TuneiK's rich chord progressions add further depth in a compelling track.

A relative newcomer to the underground dance scene, Sebastian Sellares has quickly found himself as a sought-after producer under his own name and Monje moniker. With a "driving progressive house style" that has seen his work feature on Or Two Strangers, AMITABHA and PHW Elements, support has come from Hernan Cattaneo and Graziano Raffa. Now debuting on Proton Music, the Sebastian Sellares remix is an elegantly crafted affair that makes intelligent use of original components as a foundation for an array of new musical ideas to flow. The central riff from "Circles of You" plays a pivotal role as new motifs ripple around it in shimmering delay. Making their presence felt at the stripped back mid-point, they emerge into the third movement backed by a wonderful new bassline that ties superbly to the driving beat and high-cadence percussion. The result is sublime affair hallmarked in quality.

Centrifugal forces keep Hot TuneiK's "Circles of You" spinning with ever-increasing power.
