Born out of Madloch's re-discovered passion for cassettes, a love that began in the early ‘90s, ‘Tape From The Dub' marks the first ever physical release for Crossfade Sounds. Established in 2012, the Sound Avenue affiliate has become a respected platform for the deeper realms of electronica, house and techno, often focusing on the dubbier spectrums of these genres. Now celebrated for their unwavering commitment to the style, Crossfade Sounds unveils their first cassette release, a project which is the culmination of a careful selection process which spanned the better part of a year. Featuring a cohesive blend of established artists and up and coming talents, the collection is an international affair, showcasing music from Belgium, Germany, Russia, Serbia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Ukraine, United Kingdom, and the United States. Reinforcing the label's pledge to dub sonics, each track was given a stellar analog master by Subnode, who alongside frequent studio partner and Crossfade Sounds label boss Madloch, also contributed to the collection. Featured on the release (in alphabetical order) are: Angel Lebailly, Anton Lanski, Asphalt Layer, DP-6, Emmasoul, Inzajeano, Madloch, Marek Bartůněk, Psycho Panther, Rheinkalk, Rif Erous, Sir Rizio, Sonic Buckwit, Subnode, Toishy Koshimi, Victor__Lundberg, and Wade Watts. This project marks the inception of an exciting new chapter for Crossfade Sounds, one with subsequent cassette releases and other physical formats on the horizon.

Zemar Kambas, hailing from Hungary, delivers a classy dub techno release with Echoed Journeys. The label’s 132nd entry in the Mood Series features four finely crafted tracks, balancing dancefloor energy with deep, introspective vibes. True to the series’ reputation, this gives us more of what we love about it.
'Echoes Of The Rail' opens the EP with crisp production and a compelling blend of dense, spacey atmospheres and evolving chords. Its catchy yet nuanced rhythm makes it equally suitable for the dancefloor or a solitary, heady listen. The track strikes a perfect balance, setting a high standard for what’s to come. 'Escape From The Forest' shifts gears slightly, with an island-inspired dub groove. Its deep rolling bass and addictive melodic work create an uptempo, bouncy rhythm that feels uplifting yet grounded in Kambas’s signature deepness. 'Cold Sun Walk' slows the pace just enough to accentuate the weight of its delayed chords and metallic percussion. This 18-track album, created across Novosibirsk, Moscow, and a circle of outstanding Russian musicians, transforms the country’s cosmic heritage into a living sonic universe. Each composition is named after a celestial body discovered by Russian scientists — turning dub techno into a language of astronomy reimagined through live instruments, voice, and improvisation. Real bass, live guitars, percussion, saxophone, and vocals turn dub techno into a research mission aimed at exploring the very objects Russian astronomers once revealed to the world.

Every track here is a celestial body marked on the map thanks to Russian researchers. Russian Space becomes a sonic catalogue of national discoveries — not in the form of a textbook, but as a pulsating odyssey where deep rhythm intertwines with live improvisation, and digital precision coexists with human breath. This is not just dub techno — it is a study in motion, where each composition bears the name of a celestial object found by Russian scientists. The result is a sonic atlas of domestic discoveries, rendered in a deep, fluid, and organically cosmic sound.

Quantec alias Sven Schienhammer grew up in the '80s. Producing and remixing electronic music since 1995 first using hardware tools such as Rolands MC 505 and a 303 with some efx tools.

Now the studio is hardware and software in symbiosis. Using some oldschool synths from the 70's & 80's for the love of the lo-fi feeling of those machines! The sounds are digitized thoughts and emotions.

Personal favourite styles in music include detroit and dubby electronics, deep house, dub, roots reggae, drones, ambient and some experimental stuff. He also releases music as Monoaxial and Sven Schienhammer.
