As I'm sure most of you already know, the Godfather of House, Frankie Knuckles, passed away yesterday. My chest has been tight with a heavy heart ever since I found out. At first I found this a little odd because I didn't know him personally. He's not a family friend or a close relative.

Over the last couple of hours though I've realised that I feel this way because of the music he made that inspired me. Ever since I got into House Frankie has been there. His tunes have both rocked my world and the clubs I've played and there is no doubt that this legendary DJ and producer changed the face of music, changed me, changed my life.

The title of this mix is a quote I saw multiple times on Facebook this morning. I don't know who originally quoted it, but I do know this; whenever House Music heads get together to remember him we will all say... 

'Without Him There Was No Us'.

Fizzikx presents Jam 01 a pure classic house inspired track that gives off a soulful vibe with a warm funky rhodes bassline and comes with a remix package stacked to the hilt with goodness. 
 Artfunk throws his hat into the ring with the first remix on this package and delivers a classy 4x4 slammer with tight claps, heavy kicks and luscious dubby bassline, definitely one to get any dance floor moving. 
On the second remix garage legend, Dem2 is on remix 2 demonstrates his four to the floor production style with a deep, dark bassline complimented by his signature stabs and chops and skippy percussion.         
Brazilian Garage House badman, Callvin picks remix 3 and gives his take on Jam 01 with a funky piano breakdown and raw crunchy percussion complimented with a warm and inviting melody and well refined low end. 
Pogo House Big Bossman Martin Depp delivers remix 4 the Chuck Norris remix and brings the tempo down a notch but adds big inverted style wobble on the bassline ready to shake up the dancefloor. 
Lastly, Dem 2 stamps his authority and takes another shot at Jam 01 with a 2 step, trademark vibe that Dem2 is so well known for with the Sunday Gangster Steppa Mix.  Reconstructed 2 step kicks with syncopated percussion and choppy bass stabs ensure you can get your shuffle on to this 2 step number. 
If anyone’s ever in any doubt that garage is alive and bubbling on the underground circuit in 2019, then simply shove this EP in front of them!
